A stunning conclusion to a great storyline, this issue has everything you might want from a "Doctor Strange" book. Read Full Review
It's action-packed, with cool art and amusing dialogue. Not of earth-shattering consequence, but a fitting end to a fun ride. Read Full Review
Is this the most brilliant or impressive issue of Doctor Strange? No. As much as a I love much of Dennis Hopelessswork, like Spider Woman, Im not sure hes presented an issue that is as good as Aarons Doctor Strange yet. However, this was still a fun read, and it is probably the best of Hopelesss work on the title. This one manages to nail a recommendation. Give it a try. Read Full Review
If you're looking for an important chapter in Secret Empire, this definitely isn't it. But if you want a Doctor Strange vs. Baron Mordo with a side of the mystically empowered Kingpin and Ben Urich, as well as Spider-Woman with a ghost plane, then this might be for you. Read Full Review
Nice action and humor Hopeless isn't doing a bad job thus far.
A clever, enjoyable wrap up.
IGN - Blair Marnell Aug 24, 2017 states it plainly enough with that blurb. And the ending had a lot of contrivance and messy visuals.
Dr. Strange beats Baron Mordo through trickery. I'm not avoiding spoilers; the issue provides precious little detail beyond that. It's also so poorly-scripted that it actively discourages you from digging into greater depth. This whole tie-in ends up as a pointless shaggy dog story - the characters themselves admit that defeating Mordo was just a side-show. Artist Niko Henrichon has a little more endurance than writer Dennis Hopeless; he continues providing valiantly intricate visuals well after the script runs out of steam. Even the art has its limits, though, and the story wraps with a thoroughly disappointing sad trombone sound.
