Um... Ewing literally reminded us McGowan is trans in 2 issues out of 3 already... I don't know what he needed to do to make everyone see it as a constant reminder.

Rated T+
Gamma Flight #3 keeps the series' action quotient sky-high, and the visuals remain a powerful callback to the best of the Immortal Hulk. But the creative team performs a remarkable bit of alchemy here, melding the monster-smashing action with great character development and psychological details that sparkle with realism. This series is a worthy coda to one of the greatest Marvel titles of the past decade, filling in some of the nooks and crannies left in Al Ewing's Immortal Hulk while also hammering out a great action-mystery yarn. Gamma Flight #3 keeps up the momentum from the previous issues. The story is solidly paced as it goes back and forth between the displaced team members and those back at their HQ trying to get them back. The art and colors look great in the new strange location that helps distinguish the Gamma Flight team from their surroundings and its monsters. There is a solid macabre backstory to the location, the gamma monsters, and other major reveals in the comic. Fans of The Immortal Hulk will definitely get their money's worth in this comic issue. This very much feels like a team-focused series where each member of the team is getting its own time to shine, which I appreciate. Read Full Review
Harshly overlooked by current speculation markets, would be Dionne Fortean (Gamma Flight #1). I'll admit there have been several Gamma Mutates (remember Weapon H?), but the emotional tie-in could be something interesting to keep an eye on. Read Full Review
Surprisingly still fine
The field team struggles through a weird Gamma half-dimension before the home team -- following some cool psychological insights -- teleports them back. I'm not sure if this issue lands its Gamma cosmology ideas, but the art is good and the character work is terrific. I appreciate the way the mysteries of the plot are starting to jigsaw together. There's enough subtle logic to reward close inspection, but the book isn't too obvious about revealing its secrets.
Pretty cool to see Fortean back. I wish I liked this as much as Immortal Hulk, but the comparison is slightly unfair to make. There's still a horror element, and the story is built on Immortal Hulk's, but the tone this is going for is very different.
Kind of confusing at times but this was the first issue on the level of Immortal Hulk.
Was really hoping this series would be about separating Rick and Del and finding Walter Samson. Why I’m here I might as well say how great a job Ewing has written Charlene McGowan. Between this and Immortal Hulk Ewing does a great job of not constantly reminding us that she’s trans. As someone else said. “The best kind of representative is the kind that isn’t meant to be”
