Ghost Rider: Final Vengeance #2 further shows what you can do with the Ghost Rider with a different host. The grittier and darker edge led by Percy in recent years continues to flourish in a truly street-level supernatural yarn worthy of adult readers' time. Read Full Review
Blaze and his ally also felt like a bit of an afterthought here, but still Final Vengeance is working well on revving the engines of an interesting premise. Read Full Review
It's good enough to feel entertaing, but lacks the emotion to make me really care.
Really starting to lose interest in this one, unfortunately. Also, I don't really understand why Marvel decided to relaunch this as a new series to tell this story. I feel like this and the previous issue could have just been Issues 22 & 23 of Percy's previous Ghost Rider run. Either way, I hope this story picks up sooner rather than later.
The story is fine but it's hard to care about the Hood. Replacing Johnny Blaze with the Hood just seems like a surefire way to lose money to me...
Also, since when can Mephisto just remove Ghost Rider from Johnny Blaze? Since when could the spirit just up and leave, going from host to host? Did the Ghost Rider lore just completely change off-panel?
I'm very privileged in life to get to read and review many stories. Today I have to say the privilege feels awful short on time. To be fair to issue 2 it really took issue 1 and actually down scaled it to a suitable fuel to light a real fire. All the swear words in the world just cover up a hack writer at the bottom of the sludge pile. The saving grace for him was the artist who let's be honest should finish up his felt tip packet soon enough and get back to the day job of being in kindergarten. Sorry this is an insult to most people's intelligence and if you are enjoying it well done you.
