This issue wasn't as bad as usual, but the status quos of Mary Jane and Ben Reilly are still very frustrating and leave a bad taste, even if the story is more compelling than usual.

I still don't get why Spider-Man and the X-Men didn't give Ben his memories back in Dark Web like they did for Madelyne Pryor. It's such a big plot hole that it makes the Chasm stuff seem really forced.

They weren't being genocided during Dark Web. At the end of Dark Web, Jean shared her memories with Madelyne to help her. All Jean needed to do was share Peters memories with Ben so Ben could "remember" his early life and Uncle Ben etc. Exactly the same way Jean shared her memories with Madelyne. It's a huge plot hole.

Toonstrack - May 3, 2024

Honestly I don't even think its about the memories anymore and more about that Peter didn't help Ben at all; wasn't ben already in limbo by the time Jean was helping Madelyne?

Wonder Woman character was created and introduced in All-Star Comics as a character to raise up and unite American people. Now we have CIA's Tom King using the DC Comics issue almost as a parody level of absurdity of targeted hate based on race, gender, and religion. If the roles were different, the DC Comics published tract would be labeled as a "hate crime" piece. But as it is, CIA Tom King's ef more

Of course powerful people manipulate the Bible, and religion in general for evil purposes. Look at the Catholic Church back in the day. Even if you look around today there are people using religion to manipulate people. A character like the Sovereign would absolutely use religion to manipulate the masses. The fact that the Sovereign is using the lasso of lies shows that the Sovereign is lying, so Tom King is even showing that this is improper use of the Bible verses. How can you not see this?

The story is fine but it's hard to care about the Hood. Replacing Johnny Blaze with the Hood just seems like a surefire way to lose money to me...

Also, since when can Mephisto just remove Ghost Rider from Johnny Blaze? Since when could the spirit just up and leave, going from host to host? Did the Ghost Rider lore just completely change off-panel?

so, Diana's "husband" isn't acting out of character? Also, the issue is resolved by Diana not believing in the lasso of lies - which just makes it ridiculous, especially since the lasso was made by Amazons. Also, if Diana gets tied up and her wrists touch, she loses all her power, but of course, Tom King has no clue about that!
