Like most of her life, every step forward for Hallows' Eve leads to five steps back.
Her mystical masks give her abilities like you've never seen, but power on this level attracts all kinds of people hunting it down.
Don't miss the coolest new character in comics and the book that will shock you and keep you guessing!

Hallows Eve #2 continues to be an exciting breath of fresh air. This is a book that is going out on its own with a lot of new, unexplored characters, and that is what makes it a really underrated book. Read Full Review
Hallows' Eve continues to make a strong case for not abandoning Janine Godbe to the pile of Spider-Man-villain also-rans as she continues to explore her monstrous powers and find far worse evils in modern New York City. Read Full Review
The concepts here have legs and Janine is an interesting character, but the issue exists in the shadow of a Ben Reilly story from 2019. If they can find their footing, this team could have something here. Read Full Review
This book is far from flawless. The pace is uneven and some of the scene transitions are messy. On the art front, there's a distinct shortage of backgrounds and the dynamic action isn't all that great.
But those drawbacks don't matter to me, because this book is *also* shockingly good at engaging my empathy. The characters--Janine in particular--emerge as rational, relatable people. They face challenges and make decisions and I care about them. Even visually, the artist invests tremendous effort in making the characters as expressive as possible.
The faults keep this from being great, but they can't possibly stop it from being good.

This was actually really good! I would absolutely recommend it- I just wish it didn't have to rely on the Beyond saga and the "Dark Web" saga for the plot.
Weaker issue, but gets a .5 bump from me for the 'HERES JOHNNY' reference at the end. Eve is a flawed character for better or for worse. Writing could be a bit better but is also not quite detracting. Sort of middle of the road of 'enjoy-but-not-really-enjoy'.
