Rated T+
This issue is a lot of fun, but it also delves into Kates feelings surrounding her mother. Clint and Kate teaming up is always a lot of fun, but the addition of Kates new LA friends adds humor and shows that Kates really starting to build a life as Hawkeye separate from Clint. Read Full Review
Hawkeye is a book ending way too soon, clearly this creative team has a lot more to say with these characters. This arc is every bit as beautiful and quirky as it should be. This certainly isn't a book that every superhero fan is going to love across the board, but it will likely build upon the cult status it's already garnering. Read Full Review
The ending is so sitcom perfect. Let's say the Clint effect is strong this issue. Very strong. I'm really glad we're getting another issue with Clint Barton around. Thompson and Romero always deliver and have done so consecutively. This Hawkeye series is what you'll point to when talking about how comics should be done. Read Full Review
Romero once again kills it in this issue, with page after page of stylish action and expressive (but not overly detailed) figure work. It's a real shame this series is nearing its end. Read Full Review
If this be the end of Hawkeye, at least the creative team is sending us out with their usual stellar storytelling. Read Full Review
This is a satisfying enough issue if you're already invested in the title and the current story arc. That arc is still on track, and it may well end up being great. Once we're looking at it in hindsight, though, I doubt that #14 is going to stand out as a high point. Read Full Review
While Clint enacts the stupidest, short-sighted-est, Clint-iest plan ever to try and save her, Kate is going through some top-notch powerful family feels. A very strict assessment of this comic on pure storytelling grounds might peg it at "good but not great," but anybody who rolls into this after enjoying the last 13 issues will get a significant boost out of this comic's running gags (frozen peas, exploding bobby pins) and gently sarcastic self-awareness (what *is* up with Kate's hip-holes, anyway?). For fans of Kelly Thompson's Hawkeye - and who else is reading at this point? - this *is* great.
Curse u cover....lol. Haha.....omg this series is so much fun! Again like i said weird character interactions/connections are really fun in my opinion. A 'suprise' thing that happens between "someone" and Clint Barton/Hawkeye was random but at the same time so 21st century-like and so weirdly refreshing for me (not sure why). Kelly Thompson is becoming one of my favourite comic book writers. Sadly, this series is being canceled....Why?!???? They have freaking Captain Marvel that is going on, freaking cancel that! Its horrible! Curse u sales! But anyways, hopefully this Hawkeye series ends with a satisfaction.
Really solid issue. I liked the art, the Clint part, the Kate part and everything in between. This book is awesome.
