With each issue of Iron Fist, the series keeps getting better and better. Each introduction of a new master leaves the reader with intrigue and questions of what they bring to the fight and how or if Danny will be able to defeat them. Brisson also is creatinga great story behind the Trial of the Seven Masters that has double crossings and other sneaky business going behind the scenes of the battles. Having two kind of dark Iron Fist runs back to back is a bit much for me, especially since I know that Danny Rand can and has done more. That said, Iron Fist #3 is still an entertaining and hard knuckled look into a more visceral side of the Marvel Universe. Read Full Review

I was very skeptical of this series at the beginning, but this has turned out to be a lot of fun. I really liked this issue. I love the art especially in the fight scenes. There is also some hints of a mystery surrounding this tournament going on. Definitely a fun read.

Another solid issue. The art is great and the story is intriguing. I Look forward to reading the next one.

Choshin grabs the villain ball and sabotages Danny's trial progress. I see more shortcomings than strengths in the creators' work here. Ed Brisson's plot leans toward "kung fu cliché-fest" rather than "loving homage" and Mike Perkins' hyper-realistic art works well for fight scenes but gets glitchy and unnatural when portraying talking heads. (The cliffhanger ending is also hobbled by some artistic muddiness at the worst possible time.) This issue does a fine job of scratching the kung fu itch, but it's not doing so in a way I find particularly memorable.
