Comic Watch - Nicholas Osborn
Oct 17, 2019The struggle of being Spider-Man is ultimately the heart of this series, and issue #11 beautifully takes us deeper into that struggle by showing exactly how much Miles has to deal with in order to be behind the mask. Read Full Review

Black Nerd Problems - Chris Aiken
Oct 13, 2019It also helps that artists Z Carlos and Ig Guara both present an art style very reminiscent of Mark Bagely's original art on Ultimate Spider-Man. It fits with that Ultimate Universe vibe this arc is going for and the direction this arc is going. So any complaints are minimal when the prospect of what's in store for this arc is exciting and none of the plot points feel like they are lost in the shuffle. Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - waltgator
Oct 09, 2019I will admit, first time reading it I read it fast but the second time when I read it I enjoyed it so much more and appreciated Ahmed's work better. The art is once again, amazing! I was expecting this book to answer some questions about Ultimatum but hoping this is a 5-6 issue story. If that is the case then I am okay waiting for an issue or so. Highly recommend! The dialogue, story, and art proves why this book is happening. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Jason A. Fleece
Oct 09, 2019The writing alone makes Miles Morales: Spider-Man #11 still a worthwhile read, but the use of fill-in artists really hurts this issue. Heres hoping Javier Garrn returns for #12. Read Full Review

Oct 09, 2019Miles Morales has reached a comfortable rhythm in Spider-Man comics, heaping up problems in every aspect of its hero's life in order to make each new conflict a bit more complex and exciting. Read Full Review

Oct 10, 2019Ultimatum has his sights set on Brooklyn and only Miles Morales can stop him. Ultimatum's gang is spreading a strange drug throughout the burrough, and Miles has to get to the bottom of it while balancing his school workload and family responsibilities. It's funny that family may be the only thing stopping Miles from taking down Ultimatum. Read Full Review

I don't understand why Saladin Ahmed writes this book so much better than he does Ms. Marvel.

Miles has been a top book for me since the reboot. Ahmed is really getting into some good stuff.

Prelude: Miles Morales: Spider-Man is heating up again. Let's see how this issue goes. The Good: It's all going bad for Miles. I really like the focus on how being Spider-Man can influence your life so much. Still loving the more street and family vibes from this book. The superhero having something taken away so they have to rely on other skills is an old trope. But it's also one I like to see and it is done well here with a ticking clock. The Bad: Nothing of note. Conclusion: Another strong issue without any main faults. Only reason it doesn't get higher is due to my rating system.

A fun but fairly light issue. Nice art, but cliffhanger not so great when it's on the cover.

I was frustrated by the comprehensive survey of all Miles's sub-plots, many of which are stuck in holding patterns. It's tiresome, like that coworker who spends a whole hour every day complaining about how busy she is.
