An incredibly artistic and creative issue that I can't help but go back to and look at over and over again. Moon Knight is proving to be a very bizarre, yet unique read. I'm glad to see it earning it's own niche in today's superhero culture. I hope the next issue is just as creative. Read Full Review
Moon Knight #196 wraps up this two-part story as Marc Spector must fight off the Collective from inside its own mind. Max Bemis continues to do a good job of bringing our hero to new and different places while expanding his rogues' gallery with new and interesting characters. I do wish Moon Knight had a little more “family time” but I am overall enjoying what Bemis is doing with him. Paul Davidson and Mat Lopes deliver some superb visuals in Moon Knight #196, and honestly, it was just a lot of fun to look at! Read Full Review
Moon Knight and his creators take full advantage of the "anything goes" rules of the Collective's mindscape and defeat the monster from the inside out. Though I know it's not the case, it sure FEELS like significant portions of the script boiled down to "insert 4 pages of 'weird for the sake of weird' po-mo wackiness here." It's still a blissful read thanks to absolutely awesome art. The go-for-broke visuals effortlessly Fezzik the ailing script up the Cliffs of Insanity and reach greatness at the top.
Bemis is killing this!!
Weird but I'm into weird.
This was much better than the last few issues. My only issue is it's starting to become almost cliche what Moon Knight has become. When Ellis and Lemire were writing Moon Knight, the craziness and personalities felt natural. It's almost starting to become forced that this guy is a nut and not really a superhero anymore. It's fine for now so I'll see where Bemis take Moon Knight in the upcoming issues.
