This issue may be a touch overly indulgent, but it's still a fun read. Read Full Review
It's a masterpiece of pacing, tone and emotion from Zdarsky. A great, "smaller" story, the kind we need more of in the Spider-Verse. Bachalo's art doesn't really match the vibe, but he will likely excel in part two. Read Full Review
Chip Zdarsky may have a reputation as a goofball, but he can tug at those heartstrings with the best of them. Read Full Review
Thanks to you (Comics Reviewer) I take this one in supplement of the one in my sollicitation. I love Bachalo so didn't had to push me to much. I find this story very beautiful. Sad but great. For me Sandman is a Avengers just as much as a Sinister Six' member. So this story was hard to read because, I see the innocent, the heroes. And fortunately Zdarsky put some hope for the futur ... Ok a end of time story, but with some hope for the character. I'm eager to read more about this new Sandman hoping he will not fall in the dumb bad guy of the week part ! Without you I would have not try this. So thanks a lot !
Cover - Really beautiful & related in a way. 2/2
Writing - Damn that was a beautiful transitional issue. 3/3 more
Zdarsky did Kite Man style story for Sandman, and It work sensationally!
Spidey is there for the Last Day of Flint Marko. And what comes next is quite the mystery! This is a quiet, intimate, emotional story that lands heavily on the heartstrings. It's a surprisingly good fit for this artist, whom I'm normally not a fan of. Finding nobility in a monster is right in his wheelhouse, and that's exactly what the script needs.
This would be a 9 but i really dont like the art great story though.
Art is a little odd for the story but, definitely a fun read.
