Parental Advisory
Readers, there is no going back on who the Punisher is now. His entire history is changed. His motivations are forever changed. The foundation of what made him who he was has changed. And ultimately, I don't know how it gets altered. This is some pretty heavy stuff that Aaron throws at readers. And like it or not, this appears to be the new Punisher. Read Full Review
Punisher #10 is, for the most part, a whole lot of splatter-filled fun. Read Full Review
A merciless tale of vengeance and violence. Read Full Review
Punisher #10 has plenty of emotional weight and flying body parts, but the plot is practically at a standstill. If you enjoy Punisher comics simply for the violence, you may enjoy this one. For readers who want a story to back up the shock value, you may be disappointed. Read Full Review
I really like this issue. This series overall, has been solid. I really like the work being done with Maria.
Punisher continues to be a great read. I'm excited to see where it goes.
A bit of slow burn with an emphasis on the flashbacks and Maria's narration. Saiz draws some cool pages of Frank's "labors" but storywise the issue is more of the same up untill the last couple of pages which were really great.
Really good issue from a series that I’ve really been enjoying. Maria’s continued narration over her and Frank’s past together is great, and I’m glad she hasn’t become an afterthought in this series. As for Frank, the “murder train” of sorts he’s on here was also handled well with the news reporter(s) covering what he’s been up to. After the team-up tease from last issue’s ending, I’m excited to see what happens when Frank is finally confronted by all these heroes. I can’t wait for next month’s issue, as this series continues to be one of my favorite ones going right now.
Like #8, Punisher #10 is a slow, foreshadowy episode. It features just a few key plot/character developments filigreed out with baroque art and ominous prose.
But this issue engaged me a little more, drew me a little further in.
The highlight of this volume has been Maria's perspective, and this issue delivers another ample serving of it.
We always knew Frank Castle was a twisted, broken man--but it turns out the same could be said of his wife.
They have been teasing the Avengers confronting Frank for some time, and they do it yet again. This issue was meant only to reiterate the fact that Frank cannot stop and keeps adding names to the list. I'm not really a fan of a Frank Castle that was consumed with the lust for violence before his family was murdered. This changes cannon too much for my taste. There were some good images here, but mostly it was a montage without much going on. Let's see what happens next issue.
