I've really enjoyed the Scarlet Witch series overall and this issue reminds me why it was filled with so much potential and delivered on a lot of it with a good chunk of its run so far. The standalone aspect, the playing in the big picture area with small moments, and the character dynamics all made for great reads. With the strong artwork design as well, and the way it played with fascinating areas in unconventional ways, the series highlights all that makes it good here with the montage element of so many stories. But it's bittersweet because these stories won't get told in full and the connection to these characters falls short because of that. I'm curious to see how they wrap it all up in the next issue but also frustrated since the follow-up series is designed in a way that makes me not want to read it. Read Full Review
Tammetta, Pichelli, and team knocked it out of the park again with their stunning art. This issue took on a different dynamic than the previous ones. Orlando took us on a ride through various snippets of Wandas dealings instead of giving us one centralized story of a single character/villain that we have come to expect of those coming through the Last Door. Though I felt like there wasnt a strong character development in this issue, it was a nice touch to go back and revisit the familiar faces of Ganymeade, Hippolyta, Quicksilver & Luna. However, I am curious if these flashes circling back to these specific characters are leading up to something more, and the ending with Joseph and Hexfinder definitely left a cliffhanger that has me excited for issue #10. But of the issues in SCARLET WITCH to this point, this isnt the best one to highlight as an example of what the series can do. Read Full Review
The main story of the issue is a captivating, entertaining journey, which equally showcases Wanda's fascinating capabilities as a character, and tees up some loves and losses for her in the future. Read Full Review
I wish I knew more about Magneto and his history with Wanda to understand this weird trauma she's going through with seeing Joseph. *womp womp*
