Mar 11, 2020This series at no point dipped below average, with flairs of brilliance. Outside of a face like a potato, and some stagnant color scheming (rarely), there was very little not to like here. The action was portrayed excellently, you got a feel for each character, and Bens internal struggle resonated with us. If youre not a fan of Star Wars, youll like this series. If you ARE a fan of Star Wars, chances are youll love it. The worst offense this series committed was only being four issues. But you know what they say leave em wanting more. This reviewer wants more. Read Full Review

Mar 25, 2020There are some pretty obvious beats throughout this story but they don't detract from the enjoyment of the experience. That enjoyment is thanks to a great writing and artwork. For anyone wanting to know how Ben became Kylo Ren this series is a must and this issue especially shows the pieces fall into place to create one of the darkest characters to light up the Star Wars stage for some time. Mar 17, 2020The Kylo Ren series is one that feels like it would have worked better as an ongoing if there was enough faith in people picking up the book. There's a good enough story to explore here but I suspect the meaty material will be kept to the novels at some point as more of the sequel era is explored. Read Full Review

Mar 11, 2020The book makes for an action-packed conclusion to this part of the character's journey, which Ben Solo fans are sure to relish, while the rest of readers will be satiated to see one of the final puzzle pieces in the Skywalker Saga pressed into place. Read Full Review

Loved it! Some really nice Rise Of Skywalker tie-ins and some good explanation in how Ben turned to the dark side.

Loved this. The art seemed wonky from time to time. Ben has a big head/face. It's a little weird.

Absolutely loved this mini, just wish it was a bit longer. Really excited to read more stories set in this era, whenever that happens.

Prelude: It's the final issue of The Rise of Kylo Ren. Let's see how it fares. The Good: I enjoyed the journey this story lead me on. Nice to see Kylo make his lightsaber. Sliney's art was good here. The Bad: Ben's motivations aren't that clear even at the end. Conclusion: Still a very good ender but I feel like there was some untapped potential in the story.
