TAG, YOU'RE IT! The students at the Strange Academy blow off their homework for the craziest game of tag ever.
•  Every door of Strange Academy holds a surprise - one takes you to Dr. Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum, another to Weirdworld, another to Asgard; and some doors' destinations are unknown even to Strange himself.
•  The students plan on stepping through every door, and at least one of the students will bear some significant consequences of their actions.

Word Of The Nerd - Brent Jackson Oct 29, 2020

I am in a bit of a conundrum with Strange Academy #4. As I do not right now feel an attachment to these characters or stories, but then every time I read an issue I enjoy it all the same. The writing has this infectious joy to it that just sucks you into the world and the same can be said for the art. Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - Charles Hartford Oct 28, 2020

When all is said and done, Strange Academy #4delivers an enjoyable story. With the pieces looking to be in place for the story to begin in earnest, I look forward to what Strange Academy will look like with a direct threat for the school to contend with. Read Full Review

Comics: The Gathering - Charles Martin Oct 28, 2020

The Strange Academy students handle book-shelving (which involves more demon-fighting than at your average school) and high-stakes cross-dimension tag. And bubbling antagonism swells up to confront them soon. This is a compelling mid-arc issue that clicks the story through some sensible developments while also giving some of the cast members chances to shine. Read Full Review

This creative team makes you care for each of these characters immensely month in and month out, and that's no easy task for a book full of characters completely new to the Marvel universe. Read Full Review

    Weird Science Marvel Comics - clayhinojosa10 Oct 28, 2020

Scottie Young has the right recipe, all the right ingredients, it's just a matter of working on how long he takes cooking. I want to see more teacher/student interaction and teaching as well as relationships forming throughout our main cast of characters. There's so much Young has left for between the panels that I feel like I have missed something already. And also, why is it is so easy to get into the Sanctum Sanctorum these days? Read Full Review

Another fine issue of Strange Academy that builds on the strangeness and the academy, but still not the characters. Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Lainez Nov 1, 2020

Strange Academy #4 was another solid entry in what has quickly become one of Marvel's most consistently fun ongoing series. Skottie Young and Humberto Ramos did a good job using a game of tag between the students into a fun adventure across different parts of the Marvel Universe. That along with the growing mystery around what the true intention of Strange Academy build a solid sub-plots for future issues to follow up on. Read Full Review

Major Spoilers - Matthew Peterson Oct 29, 2020

There's something flippant about the treatment of magic here that just doesn't jibe with the general vibe of the Marvel Universe, but it's a likable Harry Potter pastiche nonetheless Read Full Review
