FINAL ISSUE!
• This is it! After 58 issues (comics numbering is, dare we say: nuts), an OGN and a whole bunch of both eating nuts AND kicking butts, The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl reaches its 50th and final issue!
• When we say "The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl's final issue" though, we mean the *comic book*, not the character. Doreen Green will be fine! She's fine!
• ...OR IS SHE? Because in our previous issue it really seemed like things WEREN'T fine and since it's our last issue maybe we're feeling that since anything COULD happen then anything SHOULD happen!
• There's only one way to find out, and you're look more

I am truly and absolutely going to miss this comic. All good things must come to an end, but we need someone like Doreen Green. We don't deserve her, but boy, she's the perfect hero for our times. Here's to all the years of eating nuts and kicking butts. Read Full Review

Some familiar characters make an appearance including a reference to Squirrel Girl making friends with Thanos and then getting him counselling. Again this is something you would get more out of if you were a fan of this series and character already. Read Full Review
Okay this was lovely. And also the scansion actually worked out, so that’s an instant win for me.
The meta aspects tread lightly on the toes of the Unbelievable Gwenpool finale, and it's pretty saccharine overall. If ANY series has earned the right to go out in a burst of fondant sweetness, though ...
This was a sweet finale, honestly. I can't say I was a huge fan of this book, in fact I fell out of love with it for a long time, and only near the back end started to enjoy it again. And even up to this very issue, I've never deemed it a must read. But time and time again, this series has delivered good stories and writing. So, while I can't say I'll miss it, I can say that I don't regret reading it.
This series overstayed its welcome about 28 issues in(including the previous volume). The people who were a fan the whole way through... I respect you, but man I think it is repetitious trash by this point. Is it any surprise the book opens with Galactus? The highlight of the entire series? The dialogue is meant to be humourous, but the joke wore off 5 issues in. What's left of the dead humour ends up making Bendis' teenage characters seem like they are people of very few words.

Seriously though, I do respect the book for what it did early on. I just had my fill of it. Happy for the fans who got to see it all the way to 50, that is rare in modern comics.
