I want to ask from your perspective, what makes Marvel Ultimate Universe so dissapointing from your end? For me, I get how everything needs to end, but the entire series don't really have engaging main characters because it switches and talks about background characters first

Jun 24, 2026Ultimate Endgame #5 ends with a bombastic battle that leads to… nothing. Deniz Camp’s ineptitude at making the last two-plus years of build-up worth the wait is shocking, and the jarring integration between two art teams is a visual detriment. Readers hoping their patience would be vindicated will come away with a mix of frustration and disappointment. Read Full Review

This whole finale miniseries has been so bizarre. I remember most of these issues being silly and funny, along with this art-- which is good, but it doesn't really seem like finale-worthy art-- this has just felt so weird and meaningless.
Despite all these mostly pointless previous issues, Camp really did nail the Doom story here, and it genuinely made me feel something.+ Like • Comment -

For as chaotic as it was through the first 4, it ended ok.

The biggest blame for this fiasco lies with Hickman, who didn't want to finish his own story.

While reading this, I just can't ignore this feeling. Of feeling nothing. This screams whatever to me and it's hard to enjoy anything this offers. No one is surprised it ends with an ass-pull deus ex machina because the first 4 issues did nothing to buildup to a resolution.
I don't know what happened with Campz. His Ultimates run was so good until this started.
Also Ultimate Potential-Man is back and Wolverine acts like he was invited to the party. That was pretty funny. -

Ultimate Endgame to me is a story that could have been so much more. This Ultimate Marvel Universe had so much promise. If I am just judging by this series and Ultimate Universe Finale, I just felt that the story was confusing with all the mumbo jumbo, the pacing is all over the place, and I'm sorry. But the art was not good to look at. I really didn't care for all these characters, I didn't care about Ultimate Iron Man or the new Ultimates. The only hcaracters I did care was The Maker and Ultimate Doctor Doom. But The Maker didn't play an imposing role, and he's written in an over the top manner that didn't make me care.
Marvel has a problem where most of the issues have nothing happening only until the last few pages. There's no more -
