This issue flows perfectly from the start all the way to its surprise ending. Not to ruin any surprises I wont reveal my favorite moment but I will say it involves a head stabbing. This issue along with the entire Dark Angel Saga is truly a must a read of 2011. Read Full Review

Best of all, though, as good as this story was, it didn't need a crossover, or tie-ins. It didn't even need Wolverine to be conscious. No gimmicks, no pandering, no advance spoilers. No better way to have told this story. If the creators involved never picked up their tools again, they could rest easy knowing that just once, they did everything right. The high drama of the final showdown between X-Force and Dark Angel is every bit as majestic and affecting as this story deserves. After reading the book once, I read it straight through again. I assure you, my life is no less busy than any of yours, but I simply could not stand up until I had experienced this book one more time. Remender and Opena's Uncanny X-Force #18 caps off a story that's been running for a while even as it sets up so many questions and so many conflicts for the future. It's great to see that Marvel's mutants are capable of stories that can still shock the audience even as the stories break their hearts. Read Full Review

Jumping On Point?: No. No, no, no. If you want to read this issue, save yourself the frustration and read the other seven issues first. Hell, even if you've read them already but weren't paying close attention, you might want to go back and refresh yourself. Wouldn't hurt to brush up on Age of Apocalypse either. Read Full Review

Bag or not, #18 is a great issue with a wonderful balance of reveals, shockers and nods to the future. Nooooooo!! WTF? After so many issues of explosive action and awesome battles, why did this issue have to be such a let down? What the hell? We were riding the roller coaster all the way to the top, just waiting for that rush of going down. Instead, we get nothing but the end of the ride. No action. No excitement.
