Following a strong debut, this second issue packs a heavier punch as Bucky Barnes learns more about the child assassin crafted in the Winter Soldier's image. Read Full Review
Winter Soldier kicked 2019 off right. The story is engaging, the art risk-taking that hits every time. When I say risk-takingI mean it's different and it's amazing. Every panel is consistent. I reached out to Rod and begged him to never stop, I am in love with his art. Winter Soldier is the must-read of 2019 already. Read Full Review
Winter Soldier is clearly a different type of superhero story. Yes, there's the action we'd expect but it's the actions at the end of the battle that seems to set it apart so far. The introduction of R.J. has set up something that's potentially very interesting flipping the script on Bucky in many ways forcing him to become the teacher and completing his growth from a trained killer to something more. This is a series to keep your eye on in 2019. Read Full Review
"Winter Soldier" #2's grounded and violent narrative shows the progression of Bucky's character in The Marvel Universe. Read Full Review
Kyle Higgins and Rod Reis aren't messing around and continue giving Bucky an efficient, suspenseful tale worthy of the noir-flavored character. Read Full Review
I like Bucky and am intrigued by the characters in this issue, but the overall story just doesnt grab me much and I am not a fan of the art at all. Hopefully, things will pick up in the next three issues, but for now, I cant recommend this. Read Full Review
The sidekick story is cliche and too convenient. I found the characters flat and uninteresting with a vague and dreamy art style that is unmemorable. Read Full Review
I think this issue was really good. Not much to say, but I really hope RJ becomes a sidekick for Bucky.
Higgins and Reis like PB&J!!
"Do you like killing?"
This was really good. The issue opens with a little backstory on our teen assassin and then picks up immediately where the first issue left off.
The fight between Mr. Barnes and RJ or "evil Bucky" is really good and provides some exciting action. Some of that can be attributed to the art, which doesn't bother me anymore and to be honest, I liked it here.
It seems that RJ is on his way to becoming Winter Soldiers' sidekick and is it just me or does Mr. Colt looks like David Bowie in some panels?
This was pretty good and I liked the art, and also the new guy.
