X-23 #11 takes the well-worn Laura and gives her a whole new life and dimension and, in the process, delivers one of the best X-Men stories out there. Read Full Review
A terrific issue that kickstarts the latest arc while essaying exactly how it feels to regret our words and actions. This is a very accessible, easy to read, and entertaining series and issue #11 showcases everything that's great about it. Read Full Review
A solid issue featuring a believable conflict and a couple of really nice fights (one physical, one mostly emotional.) Read Full Review
X-23 has all of the elements to make a good drama, but there's just something lifeless about the execution. Read Full Review
I have defended this series month after month, but this penultimate issue has me pretty down. It's bad enough that my two favorite characters book is ending, but splitting them up is heartbreaking. I hope it's just a twist that will be revealed in the finale, but even if it does, there is not much going on here besides the really good art. Read Full Review
Simmering tensions boil over between Laura and Gabby. It's a very human conflict, illustrated well in words and art. Bonus points for using a flashback structure to conceal the nature of the split and ramp up the tension. This is admittedly a pure character study, but if you're invested in the characters -- and the whole volume encourages that -- it's an enthralling one.
a good book well written the human element of these characters continues to develop. i love the cover art ashley witter does a fantastic job!
I liked this. I like Gabby and Laura so I'm glad we're focusing on them and not, ironically, more clones.
Solid but uninteresting. Some more good Gabby banter. Although, the 'feathered' being cameo is curious.
Solid stuff, nothing too exciting.
