X-Men Blue #8 is an essential read in the Secret Empire collecti0n detailing out New Titan and Magneto's overall role in HYDRA's America. Read Full Review
Other than that it was a pretty fast paced issue with a few twists and turns that i never saw coming and Corey Smiths art is just beautiful. I'm gonna give X-Men Blue an A+ because this is easily the best issue yet, the only problem I could see people having with this issue is that it is a really fast read. Read Full Review
The majority of this issue is spent getting the cast all together in one location, and I'm hoping in future instalments we'll get to see some character exchanges between the older and younger versions of these teams, seeing as the older Beast, Archangel and Cyclops brother Havok have sided with the Hellfire Club and made an uneasy peace with Captain America's Hydra forces. Bring on the main event on New Tian! Read Full Review
This issue feels shorter than most, but so much happens to move the plot forward it's okay - also, amazing art! Read Full Review

X-Men Blue continues to be a juggernaut in the X-books line. It has consistently been outstanding in quality and one of the most fun x-books I have read in years. Even in a major event tie-in the book remains outstanding. This series is a must read by all x-fans and comic book fans in general. Read Full Review

short but a sharp and good story. enjoying the SE tie-ins for blue and really enjoying the series as a whole so far!
Probably my favorite issue of X-Men Blue yet. The scenes with Emma Frost and young Cyclops are downright sinister and uncomfortable, but in an interesting way. I hope Cullen Bunn continues with this. Cory Smith nailed this issue on art. I hope he stays on for future issues.
As creepy as it is that Emma is fixated on young Scott, I am really interested in where they are going. The back and forth on Magneto's motives seems fitting but fails to keep my interest. The character interactions however are top notch. For this issue I enjoyed the art. While this series has some missteps it is still one of the best of the X titles I think.
Jean and Jimmy Hudson are the only team-members who escaped capture by Emma Frost's quasi-fascist squad. Fortunately, Magneto is making sure they have no shortage of allies when they go on the inevitable rescue mission. I often fault Cullen Bunn's deep-cut-heavy plotting, but when it works it *really* works well, and the reveal of Magneto's back-up heroes at the end of this issue is a superb example. Cory Smith & Joey Vazquez deliver some outstanding art. Both splashy combat scenes and tense character moments look wonderfully attractive here.
