    AIPT - David Brooke Mar 30, 2020

This is one of the most rewarding comic book reading experiences I've had of all time. I couldn't put this book down for a second, my heart literally raced as tensions rise, and I felt deeply for a computer A.I. that is as human as any character in the book. Sentient is a truly original science fiction story that borrows traces of Lord of the Flies and Bicentennial Man infused with the human journey to beat insurmountable odds. The story by Lemire is heartfelt, harrowing, and redemptive. The art by Walta, Wands, Fletcher, and Powell is superb. Altogether, a story that shows the answer to the question, that if you can ever prepare your children for the unthinkable and to trust that you that your nurture leads to their better natures. And if you've read any of my reviews, you damn well know I love nothing more than a good found family story and this folks is a great one. Read Full Review

Needless to say, I really recommend reading Sentient. While TKO Studios publishes stories in bundles, they're (as far as we know) stories without a follow-up. There's power in these short stories, and Sentient has this kind of power. You can order Sentient here. Read Full Review
