Hello friends! Unfortunately it appears that Garth Ennis got old and wrote a book about "owning the chuds" It is very, very hateful and woke in an out-of-touch boomer dad sort of way. Barf. I recommend something with some joy in it instead. Or his older works which are really good.

I was so excited to jump back into comics after a long hiatus, starting with the From the Ashes X-Men event. And instantly I run into that kind of wokeness where you start bullying people you've never met and calling them names, but it's ok because they deserve it for disagreeing with you And now I become aware that the author is full of hate and spite, and I know that's what I'm in for if I keep reading work by this artist. Hate sucks

I love spider-man, but the art is so bad. It looks like a toddler drew it.

This review is for the pinups alone. I'm not going to read the story because I don't like the art. I dunno man it just looks like it's for little kids or something Pinup #1 - The art here is not great and Rogue looks sick and tired and could have been made a lot more attractive. Pinup #2 - It looks like a different artist drew the face than the rest of the picture, but at least the image is attractive Pinup #3 - Nice! I wouldn't want T'Challa looking like this in actual comics, but this is what a pinup is for Pinup #4 - Awesome! One of my favs. I would give Jenn just a touch more femininity in the face Pinup #5 - It's a busy picture but the first thing your eye gets drawn to is Betsy's face, which is not great, and it's unfortunate because the rest of the picture has a lot going for it and is one of my favs Pinup #6 - I find this slightly disturbing Pinup #7 - Amusing, not bad, kinda mid art Pinup #8 - If only they could all be this good. Dazzler looks awesome despite banana shaped femurs Pinup #9 - Anatomies are off in many places and it ruins it as a whole. Somehow the girl looks 100% great from the waist up though Pinup #10 - It's a silly one and I like the idea, I just find the dino's midsection to look off Pinup #11 - I like everything about this one. What an awesome image. Steve looking like he stole that suit from Super Dave Osborne Pinup #12 - The girls look great! Except I feel like Jessica's face could be more attractive Pinup #13 - I'm sorry but that in no way appeals to my eyeballs Pinup #14 - Good stuff. Daken looks sexy as hell Pinup #15 - I can't tell what's happening, but it's pretty. Could be a bit more skin shown Pinup #16 - Underwhelming clothes, hair, and fur throughout. Dumb expression on Kazar's face. The cat is cute at least Overall, I find a general over reliance on the super simple zany wacky cutesy cartoony art style, but hey it's Disney what did I expect.

I thought it was pretty good. The art is incredible, both colors and pencils. Emma is properly sexy, and the X-Men look as good as they can, especially Colossus. I think a drawback is that this is solely a "chapter one" type of book; it is not also a self contained mini story, and although there is a cliffhanger, it's a mild one. Some nice touches were the mutant protester crashing the party via piano, and Nightcrawler stealing a cupcake. I'll read the next one just to see what this series is going to be... and for the killer art

It was cool. Natasha looks beautiful. Barnes is badass. "The" Wolverine cuts a dude's head right in half. Namor gets offended. Surprise villain with bonkers clones of the Illuminati.
