AVX: VS #1

Apr 26, 2012

Overall, this book is exactly what it promised all those months ago. It is full of action and is a heck of a lot of fun. That is its aim, and it has pretty much accomplished just that in this opening issue of this limited series.

X-Factor (2005) #229

Dec 24, 2011

Overall, X-Factor #229 is an enjoyable read with excitement on every page. If the rest of the arc holds to such a standard, it could easily be one of the better X-Factor stories of the year.

X-Factor (2005) #230

Jan 15, 2012

Overall, X-Factor #230 remains as strong as its predecessors and works as the perfect jumping on point for the series. If you're not picking up this book already, I recommend you run to your local comic book store and purchase this issue asap.

X-Factor (2005) #231

Feb 6, 2012

Overall, X-Factor #231 may not be the strongest issue of the arc thus far, but it does well to maintain quality and accessibility that most 'second-issues-for-new-readers' struggle with.

X-Factor (2005) #235

Jul 13, 2012

Overall, X-Factor 235 is a blast from the past in the best way possible! No one mixes comedy and mystery together as well as PAD!

Avengers Vs. X-Men #0

Mar 29, 2012

Overall, the issue was very much a #0 issue. It worked as an introduction to the characters and developed them slightly, putting them in position for the summer blockbuster.

Avengers Vs. X-Men #1

Apr 11, 2012

Overall, Avengers vs X-Men is off to a good start as the story develops nicely. There are a few holes in the plot, but given that we're only a twelfth of the way through, I'm willing to give Marvel the benefit of the doubt. I eagerly anticipate the next issue.

Uncanny X-Men (2011) #1

Dec 24, 2011

Overall, Uncanny X-Men #1 is a heck of a read. It's not quite perfect, but it's certainly above your average comic book. Gillen leaves a lot to be answered for, and with the help of Pacheco, I'm sure all that is to be revealed will not disappoint.

Uncanny X-Men (2011) #2

Dec 29, 2011

Overall, the second issue of Uncanny X-Men does not disappoint. It remains better than most, with only a few small problems which need to be addressed. The story is dramatic, informative and original. Given the severity of the situation, the conclusion promises to be quite astonishing.

Uncanny X-Men (2011) #3

Jan 1, 2012

Overall, Uncanny X-Men #3 was a fine issue. It wasn't bad, and nor was it great, but it was fine. With that said, I look forward to the future of Uncanny X-Men as Gillen has done well to change their entire nature in three quick issues, preparing us for things to come.

Uncanny X-Men (2011) #4

Jan 5, 2012

Overall, Uncanny X-Men is a good issue, but I expect it will split fans down the middle. For that reason, the book receives a rather average scoring.

Uncanny X-Men (2011) #5

Jan 23, 2012

Overall, Uncanny X-Men #5 is a great read and probably Gillen's strongest issue to date. Unfortunately, the art will severally let the book down for some, but for others, only add to its greatness.

Uncanny X-Men (2011) #6

Feb 5, 2012

Overall the issue was not bad, but suffered from 'middle-arc syndrome'. Hopefully Gillen and Land have an epic conclusion in store, giving us a much needed 'X-Men story' before the filler issues and the Avengers vs. X-Men tie in issues.

Uncanny X-Men (2011) #7

Mar 7, 2012

Overall, the issue isn't necessarily bad, but there are some irredeemable factors which severely weaken the book. The art has improved over time, but Gillen really must deliver something specular in the concluding issue if he is to remedy the work of Greg Land.

Uncanny X-Men (2011) #8

Mar 7, 2012

Overall, Gillen has restored my faith in the X-Men titles, and in fact, I feel slightly silly for almost doubting him! My dislike for some artistic choices is in no way enough to extinguish my X-flame, and I'm grateful that Gillen has shown me as such.

Uncanny X-Men (2011) #9

Mar 21, 2012

Overall, this was one of the better issues of Uncanny X-Men yet. Although it lacks as many character moments as we're given the past, Gillen more than makes up for it with some long overdue raw action.

Uncanny X-Men (2011) #10

Apr 11, 2012

Overall, this book is exactly what I hoped it would be. It is entertaining on its own and it also provides as a great lead-in to the summer AvX event. I cannot wait for the next issue.

Uncanny X-Men (2011) #11

Apr 26, 2012

Overall, I enjoyed this book more than Avengers verses X-Men #2, however maybe I'm bias. Nevertheless, Gillen delivers another solid issue and creates an essential piece of Marvel's summer blockbuster event.
