If it's not already established, I love this book. From its mythological atmosphere, to its impactful artwork, to its simple but beautiful theme. There is nothing about this story I don't like, and I recommend it to literally every Batman fan, young or old.

I'll say it looks great, reads great and feels exciting and fresh.

You're either reading this book or you are definitely not reading this book. Regardless, it has fantastic artwork and a really wonderful way of commenting upon the past (or is it current?) state of the DC Universe. If they can stick the landing, this might end up being a really, really interesting read.

It's "I Hate Fairyland". If you ask me, it's practically perfect.

I had more fun with this issue than I thought I would have. While the story is predictable in a few places, the old school Elseworlds feel coupled with the amazing artwork, make this one shot a blast to look at and a hell of a lot of cool fun. If you haven't caught up with the "Batman Who Laughs" mini-series, do so and then read this, because it is more than worth it.

Do I even need to say anything else? GO READ THE BOOK! Super Sons has been tons of fun so far and, while this first issue for the arc wasn't perfect, it was still very well written and it still has me hyped to see Jon interact with the Teen Titans. GO! READ! IT!

If you're not interested in the Drowned Earth crossover, this issue isn't for you because it's literally just set-up. If you're not quite sure if you want to get into it or not, I can assure you that this is a well written, well-paced, beautifully drawn issue that has actually made me kind of hyped for the crossover. Then again Metal also started awesomely, so" I guess we'll see. So far though, I recommend it.

Congratulations, Scott Snyder, you made a Justice League issue that I not only liked, but that also captured my interest for what's coming up next. The book was fun, creative, interesting and it just popped with life and energy (especially due to the artwork). It gets a high recommendation from me, go on and get it, although I suspect you already did.

I am feeling very cautiously optimistic. I really enjoyed this issue and I tend to like Bendis anyway, but I still know he can screw it up. The story didn't go many places but, at this point, it didn't need to.

So, in the end, I feel compelled to recommend this book. It is a little simplistic, but simplicity works for Superman and these stories work with that and make something punchy and effective. Feels weird recommending a Tom King book in 2019, but the world is a crazy place. Go read it, guys.

In conclusion, Tom King leaves me very confused. His Batman is trash, but his Superman is consistently heartwarming, cool and heroic. He really knows how to use Superman in stories,, this series so far has been delightful and I highly recommend it. Please stop confusing me Tom King.

Considering I've written almost a thousand words gushing about this issue, you can take an educated guess at what my final thoughts are. Tom King makes his thesis on why Superman works and he's absolutely correct, coupled together with Andy Kubert's amazing pencils, this makes for one hell of an issue.

I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would. I was afraid the more European sensibilities of a guy like Marini wouldn't work with a superhero comic but fortunately I was totally wrong. While some of the dialogue feels kinda awkward and Batman's design isn't quite up to snuff, the book still takes the characters in interesting directions and the beautiful art more than makes up for its short comings. Highly recommend it, it's way better than the regular Batman issue.

Borrowing a few of the Bendis-isms, Batman Universe #1 is fun, exciting, entertaining and has great artwork. It's hardly essential, but if you've got some cash to spare and want to read a fun Batman story, there are worse places to look.

Dial H for Hero is fun, amazingly drawn, totally creative and, while the story is occasionally a little light, it more than makes up for it with sheer energy. Pick it up and read if you're not doing it already.

The characters are well handled and the art is really strong. Would I have liked a bit more action? Sure, but we want to establish how everything is currently, so that it can be fixed when Reed, Sue and the kids return. Go out and read this you, otherwise you'll make The Ever Lovin' Blue Eyed Thing cry, and nobody wants that.

Buy this book. Just buy it. We finally get to see the Fantastic Four again after almost 3 years of getting sent to the corner by Daddy Perlmutter and it's in a well written, well drawn and damn fun book.

Sure, not much has happened yet but I have been so starved for new Fantastic Four content, this is practically a godsend. The art is great and the interactions are fun. It has good creators behind it; it's fun and it deserves your support, dammit. GO! GET IT!

Overall, this issue was really good. The art change is disappointing and the story itself is sort of average but the character interactions are so strong and it just has this spark of fun about it that you really want out of a comic. I give it a strong recommendation and advise you to pick it up.

If you want to just kick back and read a cool book, there are few better choices than The Terrifics. This issue was a bit slower but the characters are all still interesting and the action is a lot of fun. Highly recommend you to go pick it up.

Overall this is a good issue. I can't say it's excellent, but that's mostly because it's the middle of a story and, as such, it's kind of hard to say how it fits in overall. Dan Jurgens definitely still knows how to write Superman and Patch Zircher's art is good, even if it's not to my taste. Not only this issue but the entire Rebirth run of Action Comics, get a strong recommendation on my part, provided you can deal with a series that is a bit light on story.

Action Comics #1000 was pretty much excellent.

In conclusion, it's" fine? While the writing is getting better and the book has a lot of cool moments, the sparse plot makes this issue (and Bendis's Superman as a whole) difficult to recommend, despite the great artwork. If you've got some money to spend, you could certainly spend it in worse places (for as much as a complain, this book is Watchmen compared to the travesty Tom King's doing on Batman) but if you're looking for the next unmissable comic to add to your pull list, this really isn't it.

So, if my vigorous ass kissing of this book didn't tell you, I really loved it. Will it remain good? I don't know, I'm not a psychic, but Chip Zdarsky is a good writer and he seems specially sharp in this book. It has great writing, great dialogue and it's just cool as hell. The art is cool and colorful and even the backup is cool. It's even a good place to start reading Daredevil, since it requires no context. Strong as hell recommendation, go pick it up.

I am a broken record at this point. This book has been consistently great, it has a writer reaching his apex together with an artist doing incredible work that fits the book. I can't give a higher recommendation than this.

If you haven't been picking up Chip Zdarksy's Daredevil, go back and pick up all the other issues and then this one. It's really dark without going too far, it feels appropriately moody, the art is great and it's beginning to ask some interesting questions about the nature of the character. I give it a high recommendation, go and pick it up.

In the end, if you haven't been keeping up with Zdarksy's Daredevil, this isn't a great place to start. But if you're on the fence about whether to continue or not, I'd say to do it, just out of curiosity for where it's going. While the story isn't quite as engaging and the art not as good as previous issues, it did just enough to pique my interest. I recommend it, but with the caveat that I expect it to either pay off or develop more of what it's introducing.

The Green Lantern is, unsurprisingly, pretty damn cool. We still haven't gotten to the actual story of it, but the setup is all interesting, everything is weird and trippy and the art is spectacular. You've probably bought it already, but if you haven't, know that this is a fun book that promises an intergalactic adventure like nothing you've seen in the last few years. Buy this book.

I can't say much about this issue, because most of it works best when you actually read it. It's a great little fantasy mood piece, something that gives off a wondrous sensation and feels very mystical. From the writing, to the art, to even the panel arrangement, this comic is just really damn cool to read and I give this book a high recommendation.

While there are the occasional Bendisisms and even continuity missteps, the entire thing is a blast and if you're looking for that teen superhero fix, it's perfect. I give it a strong recommendation, go out and get it.

Sure Bendis is Bendising, but it's the good kind of Bendising. It's written in a very fun way, with cool art and action. If you're looking for something fun and very superhero-y to read, there are much worse books I could think of than this one. I recommend it, go read it.

It was a dip in events, for me at least, but the art was still great, there were some nice moments and the action was cool. If you're following it, you are and if not, know that this issue isn't representative of the whole.

Overall, I was very pleasantly surprised by this issue. It has an interesting idea, brings up points that I've always agreed with and it feels like a classic Batman story in the making, as if that winged rat didn't have enough classic stories. Big recommendation, go out and pick it up.

Overall, DC Nation #0 was a mixed bag but most of it was really solid. It's clearly a sort of "trailer" for what's happening in the DC Universe but it does its function of getting you intrigued for what's going to happen. Also it's 25 cents. You really don't have any excuse for picking it up. I recommend this issue wholeheartedly.

Overall, Dark Nights Metal issue 2 is a strong continuation to the first issue that's really just lead up to the next issue but it has enough good stuff that I wouldn't miss it. Despite that huge, gaping plot hole that I mentioned (or maybe because of it), I think this is tons of fun, a real treat for fanboys and the perfect way to sweeten people on events after the chaos that was fan reaction to Secret Empire. I give this a strong recommendation; feel free to pick it up.

In the end, while Dark Nights: Metal issue 6 was an improvement, it still missed the awesome impact that this type of book should have. Unless you've been collecting it issue by issue, I can't really recommend you go out and get it.

I can't fault the book for not being exactly what I wanted out of it, but I am still going to point it out. If you are looking for that sweet spot between horror and superheroes, I am sorry to tell you that this isn't it. But, if you are looking for a fun, stylish and well written blend of superheroes and the supernatural, you can't go wrong here.

Overall, I don't know if I can necessarily recommend this to everyone but I can't say it's bad. Honestly, the biggest problem is that tangible lack of story but if you like the main character (which I did) I'd say it's probably worth sticking out. Also the art's pretty good so might as well try it.

It certainly needs to pick up the pace a bit to really get going, but the characters are still likeable and the art is still good.

Overall, Sideways #3 keeps the quality. Granted, I think it should be moving faster and I think it's been consistently wasting its side characters, but I like what's been established so far and the action's good. I give it a solid recommendation.

It's well written with mostly good looking art" but unfortunately, this issue is a bit too slow-paced for you to understand what the comic is about and that can make it a bit of a hard commitment for some people. If you can't spare the space on your pull list, I can't exactly recommend it, but if you have enough faith in Joe Hill, it's not bad at all.

So, in conclusion" This series has been cool so far and hopefully will continue to be as time goes on. While it lacks some of the more badass Doctor Doom moments, it's still true to his character and the intrigue is compelling enough to keep you going. It's only on issue 2, so if it appeals to you in any way, you can still catch up. I mean it's Doctor Doom for goodness sake. Who doesn't like Doctor Doom?

I keep saying this about Venditti's books, but this was straight up fun. Cool, epic story without getting bogged down in superhero insanity, an adventurous and pulpy tone, the return of one of my favorite DC characters and serviceable artwork. This book is highly recommended, start keeping up with Hawkman people, it's well worth it.

Overall, I hate myself right now. I want to like this book, I swear I do. The premise is neat, the idea is cool, the interactions are fun but it's doing so much so quickly, it can't possibly finish all of this in four issues. I want to believe they can make something cool out of this and turn these next few issues into all out, ultra fun blasts

Maybe it's because I've recently had the idea of love and romance stuck in my head, but this was a fun issue. It has some problems, sure, but if you're looking to have some fun with colorful artwork, enjoyable characters and failed teen romances, you could certainly go to worse places for it. I give this issue a recommendation, go ahead and pick it up.

Look, Brian Azzarello is a love him or hate him guy. If you're going to buy Batman: Damned, you were already going to do it, and if you're not than you weren't going to do it anyway. This book has great artwork but suffers from the try hard grittiness that plagues almost all of Azzarello's work. If it looks interesting, buy it but otherwise stay away, because, apart from the infamous Bat-Willy, it's a pretty dull book.

It's an ok issue. I'm really only writing this review because I have the distinct feeling no one is reading this book. The writing isn't bad and the art is quite attractive, but it's such a slow burn that it's impossible to recommend. Maybe once it really gets going I can tell you "This book has a slow start but it really picks up in issue whatever" but, so far, I can say that it's fine. Pick it up if it seems interesting, but otherwise you can probably skip it.

I will keep reading it just for the art, but if you don't really care, then I'd say to skip the book because it doesn't have much to offer.

Despite some VERY serious problems with panel layouts, I really enjoyed this issue of Crosswind. I usually love whatever Gail Simone is doing and "Abused Housewife body swaps with Hitman" is an idea right up my alley. I'm looking forward to see where things go from here, and this issue gets a strong recommendation provided you get past the art problems.

Overall, while this book did do its job of getting me interested in the Metal event, it's of little use otherwise. If you're reading this review in the week the book came out and you're not really convinced that Metal is going to be cool, go right ahead and buy Dark Days: The Forge. If you're reading this in the future, go ahead and skip it

In conclusion, I thought this issue was a lot better than the last few and I'm interested to see where Spencer is going with this. While the plot itself wasn't much to ride home about, the characters were very well explored and the dialogue, while wordy, was still interesting enough. The art has to go though. If you're on the fence on this series and are thinking of dropping it, I'd say to pick up this issue and see if it can't win you over.

Wally West should be getting a better treatment than this. He should be The Flash or, at the very least, have his own book as some other character, just something more than a miniseries by two mostly mediocre creators. But fine. Flash Forward is as much as you're going to get for the foreseeable future and it's ok. The writing is ok, the premise is creative, the redemption is (so far) well-handled and the art is tolerable. If you want to tell DC you still love Wally, vote with your cash and go buy this book.

Overall, while the art isn't always great and I have some questions about the plot, this is some of the most fun I've had with an issue in a while. It's funny, it's a cool insight into Clint Barton but above all, it's just plain, old fun and enjoyable to read. I realise that's not a ringing endorsement, but I know I'm going to keep reading it.
