The Silencer #1
Jan 31, 2018 |
Overall The Silencer is a lot of fun to read and is the perfect introduction to Honors world. The reader should be hooked to come back more with this issue and hopefully it keeps up the pace it starts with. There is enough here to build up and on to in order to really flesh out this character and keep it from becoming too trope-y. |

Dont let X-Men: Gold prevent you from picking up X-Men: Blue. Everything that is wrong with last weeks title is done right in this book. As promised, we are back to basics in look, style, and story; it's a breath of fresh air that will restore faith in the X-Men for a lot of readers. If the X-Men are going to return to greatness, then this title is where it will happen. |

Overall this is a solid beginning to a new series. There is a lot of emotion in this book and should prove to the reader that although they may not feel human Riley and Sadie are still whole. This book is a must read if you are looking to start a good story with strong female characters and a futuristic setting. |

The Power of the Dark Crystal #3
May 24, 2017 |
Overall this is a good book. If you are a fan of the Dark Crystal world then you should definitely pick this issue up. It has had a little bit of a slow start but it is coming into its own with this issue. The artwork is gorgeous to take in and the story gives fans what they have wanted for many years. It will feel good to return to a world that has been a part of our imaginations for so long. |

Supergirl (2016) #8
Apr 17, 2017 |
Overall, the issue is a lot of fun. It reads straightforwardly, but unpacks so much by the time youve finished it. We are beginning to see just how much the Reborn storyline is going to affect the overall DC Universe. For the Super-family, it appears that this reboot is the best thing to happen to them in a long time. Definitely pick up this issue and get reacquainted with the cousins. |

Supergirl (2016) #9
May 10, 2017 |
Overall this is a decent issue with a lot of action, but you wont miss much if you skip this one. More than likely the first few panels of the next issue will sum up the events of this one. Unfortunately since DCs Rebirth Supergirl has only been mediocre except for a very few instances. Its too bad, she should have a much more popular book since she has the TV show on right now. The elements are all there for Kara to be great again, but maybe Ching and Orlando should be taken off of this one. Skip this issue unless you are a completest. |

Justice League of America (2017) #4
Apr 13, 2017 |
Overall the book is enjoyable but lacks originality and brevity. The entire storyline could be told in three issues instead of four and would probably work better. The idea for the story, however, is intriguing and hopefully in the future we will return to it. The JLA seems like it will be a lot of fun and has potential for some great adventures as long as they dont need to do any teamwork. |

Ladycastle #3

Definitely pick this up for a fun read, but dont forget the lessons. Ladycastle as a series is, and should be, especially important for young girls. Dawsons work can present them with examples to keep in mind as they grow into women. These are not damsels in distress, but rather fighters and problem solvers. Sometimes you wear a dress and sometimes you fight, other times you fight in a dress. |

Sovereigns #0
Apr 6, 2017 |
Overall the book is good, though short, and it shows potential for a great reboot for each of the individual heroes. As far as “The Sovereigns” storyline goes, it is too early to tell. It seems to have potential, but there just wasnt enough in the 18 pages to get a sense of how things will go. This introduction is only $1.00, so you won't be out much if you don't like it, but the artwork and writing are definitely worth more than the cover price. |

Eternal Empire #1
May 3, 2017 |
That being said, Vaughn and Luna have in the past done some great work together. If you are a fan, then you will want to stick around and see where things go from here. There is potential here for it to become something better. It could be exactly the look that the duo were going for in this first issue while subsequentissues may differ. First time readers may find the book too lacking in originality and interesting art to continue or even pick up this book in the first place. It seems to be a miss for the creative duo, but we may not discover Eternal Empires destiny until later in the series. |
