A great start that hits the ground running, sucking you into the panic of the moment and giving you little time to sit and contemplate what just happened -- in a good way!

A terrific triple threat of great stories that are fun, engaging, well drawn... well, what more could you ask for?

Emotional, expressive, heartwrenching, and immensely satisfying. This is Sonic character drama at its very best.

A wonderful and charming book exploring, at long last, the classic era of Sonic. All three stories are masterfully crafted by people who know what they're doing, and the love for Sonic radiates off the page.

A great start that hits the ground running at supersonic speed. 'Imposter Syndrome' is well characterized in both writing and art, and re-introduces fan favorite ideas in a clever, unique, and fresh way.

A fitting return to the Mirage era of TMNT, paying loving tribute without being too lost in nostalgia that it forgets to march forward and be strong in its own right.

The book continues doing what it does best, marrying the best aspects of old and new in a storyline that blurs the line between classic Mirage and contemporary Turtles.

Another stellar issue in one of the greatest TMNT comics to ever see release, carrying the spirit of Mirage into the present.

A book that feels both fresh and nostalgic, not just for the cartoon it's succeeding, but also for the modern Batman tales it's bringing into its legacy.

Full of fun and rising tension, with a nostalgic backup story to round things out perfectly.

Radiant Black continues to be a book that's got my interest piqued. Indie superhero stories are a dime a dozen, and it's not easy to stand out in such a sea of talented creators putting their own spin on the genre. But what Higgins and Costa really manage to do is grab you, and make this world feel fresh and exciting. I can't wait for more to come.

A strong return to the main book for Ian Flynn, bringing with him the strong characterization and world building he's known for.

Great character writing, fun storytelling, stellar artwork... this series remains a must-read for Sonic fans.

A really fun and well-characterized issue that ticks all the usual entertaining boxes you've come to expect from an issue of this run.

With some fun writing, great characterization, interesting designs and overall solid art, this feels like the start to something truly great.

A second issue that's even better than the first, doing a great job at re-contextualizing these characters' traits in a morally flipped world.

A solid entry that keeps the story Tamaki wants to tell going, with some great art and a solid backup story to make it even more worth your while.

Detective Comics continues to be the Batman comfort food I need in the current landscape of comics. Fun, tried, and true to the world and characters.

Not as punchy as the last issue, but continues the story at a steady pace that feels right and gives us some new intrigue.

An issue that advances things quick and effectively while remaining entertaining, and sticking to the "detective" part of the title very well.

View Issue       View Full Review

An action-packed issue of classic Batman tropes and storytelling... even without Batman needing to be there!

View Issue       View Full Review

A solid issue with fun artwork that's well characterized and full of good ol' Sonic fun.

Despite some inconsistent art, the whole issue is one big fun fight scene that's a blast to read from cover to cover.

A fun issue that gives us time to explore some of the cast that we haven't had a lot of time with yet.

A fast and fun issue that gives us more of Surge and Kit's personalities as we speed toward their inevitable showdown with the franchise's heroes.

View Issue       View Full Review

An issue that hits the ground running and never stops. Confirming an openly bisexual character alone is enough to give it praise, but it goes above and beyond from there to really make it feel like we can only go up from here.

An action-packed and fun-to-read issue that firmly hooks you for next time.

Some classic Transformers status quo with the Autobots fighting the Decepticons, and some really good character moments sprinkled in for good measure.

Another good issue exploring one of the best characters in the book.

This is a book that has some growing pains, but is ultimately a fun experience that promises a lot, and I think it's gonna deliver. I look forward to see how this team irons things out as months go by, and I can't wait to see this come into it's own. As a longstanding fan of these characters, it gets a pass from me. Good work.

A good conclusion to the previous story with character development for the supporting cast. Tamaki continues to show her strong understanding of Batman's core appeal as a character with some great artwork and a solid backup story as a bonus.

You can tell the creative team wanted this issue in particular to feel like you were playing a level right out of the games, with great action and thrilling artwork all throughout. These are people who know what they're working with, and run (ha) with it. This issue is fully dedicated to the thrill ride, and I can't think of anything more Sonic than that.

It's everything it needed to be. A conclusion to a fun jaunt with some heartfelt character moments and good action. Only suffering from less than stellar coloring, everything else hits the mark.

Another solid issue of Sonic, with good art, enjoyable characters, and smooth pacing.

A solid issue that continues from the last, advancing the plot and giving us insight into one of the Turtles' longstanding enemies-turned-ally.

A good issue that brings forth some interesting new developments, but those who are antsy about the overall plot's pacing could reasonably wait to binge.

A fairly solid issue that gives us a deeper look into Pyra Magna and manages to deliver on a tense and contemplative atmosphere.

An issue that starts fun and ends with another promising setup. The characters are fun, and it works as a good breather issue, but it doesn't forget to keep you on your toes.

An issue that had me on the edge of my seat to see where it will lead down the line, with stellar artwork and long-term plotting.

Some fun action and solid characterization, as I've come to expect from this creative team.

Approaching the end of this era of Transformers comics, we get an issue jam-packed with content that's more than worth the bang for your buck.

View Issue       View Full Review

Transformers: Halloween Special isbrief but well characterized, and offers a unique little story where you can just explore a character and watch them go on a bite-sized journey. I actually miss when comics did things like this more often, and in the primary titles at that. It's not the first thing I think of when Halloween comes to mind, sure, but you can't say it isn't unique, and very Transformers.

A solid issue with some fun revelations, giving out just the right amount of information to keep the narrative progressing and us coming back for more.

A standard but fun issue, where we see the cracks begin to show and get to watch a classic supervillain in action.

View Issue       View Full Review

A good issue that really puts the "detective" back into "Detective Comics", even if we as readers already know the answers, helping build anticipation.

View Issue       View Full Review

A solid romp through the explosive climax to this story.

View Issue       View Full Review

A good penultimate transition into the final issue of this lengthy story.

View Issue       View Full Review

In the end, this was a good final issue, to a fun story, but boy, am I glad that it's over. It was fun, but it's definitely time to move on to something new, and that Riddler tease at the end really got me excited for a change of pace. But as it stands, "Shadows of the Bat" was a fun romp that showed you don't need Batman around to tell a fun Batman story, but he's certainly never unwelcome to show back up and help with the cleanup. It had some good intrigue, good art, fun character writing... just overall, pretty darn good I'd say.

A good follow up that helps bring forth a big shift in status quo that feels new and promising, while also setting up plenty to keep you reading for next time.

A strong entry in the ongoing adventures of Sonic and friends, if a bit hard to follow for a newcomer.

A solid new issue in IDW's ongoing adventures of Sega's Blue Blur, giving us some new juicy character information to speculate on while we wait for the next installment.

View Issue       View Full Review

A great excursion into the goings-on outside the main book, with fun characters and great artwork.

View Issue       View Full Review

A short but sweet issue that's fun to flip through, even if it doesn't move much plot forward.

View Issue       View Full Review

Fun action, good character moments, and some exciting plot escalations. All in all a good entry.

View Issue       View Full Review

A solid issue that slowly continues the forward momentum of the story, but keeps the Turtles a bit too complacent in regards to larger issues they're a part of.

View Issue       View Full Review

An issue that gives us some further world building, but struggles a bit in the pacing and also gives us some redundant information. Overall good.

View Issue       View Full Review

This issue has some problems with exposition dumping right up front, but is still a fun ride you can read for a quick superhero sitcom adventure with some stellar artwork to really bring it home.

View Issue       View Full Review

Flaws from previous issues are still present, but it succeeds at what it's trying to do regardless.

View Issue       View Full Review

While this book may be a great change of pace for some, it's started to lose some of its luster. Hopefully after this there will be more to chew on.

View Issue       View Full Review

A decent issue with a small characterization issue that drags it down somewhat, but still a solid entry in the ongoing plot.

View Issue       View Full Review

An enjoyable issue to be sure, if a bit simple in overall execution.

View Issue       View Full Review

The book zigs where it set up a zag, and sidesteps a potentially more interesting premise or internal conflict for the arc's central character. What's there works on the surface, but could easily be so much more.

View Issue       View Full Review

A mixed bag with strong highs and deep lows that left me feeling disillusioned with this current arc as a whole.

View Issue       View Full Review

Technically competent and pleasing to the eye, but feels like standard fare otherwise, and is disappointingly dull on the whole.
