But Why Tho? - Collier "CJ" Jennings Sep 29, 2021

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin #4 has triumph and tragedy in equal measure, building up to a grand finale. COMICON - Scott Redmond Oct 1, 2021

Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird's long-gestating 'final' Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle story continues to bring a whole new life and situation for the beloved characters of this franchise. It's brimming with gory battles, dystopian forces and rebellions, great character moments, and more tragic moments centering around these pop culture icons. Read Full Review

Comic Watch - Mike Eakins Sep 22, 2021

The great thing about spoiler-free reviews is that it forces to look inward on how the book makes you feel. Its fun to go panel by panel, but theres something magical about digging deep into your feelings and making that the tone of the review. The Last Ronin does just that. It makes you settle in and take notice of what is on the page. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are who we are. Now, by extension, we are The Last Ronin. Read Full Review

    Graphic Policy - Brett Sep 22, 2021

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin #4 a chapter that feels desperate but never feels depressing. There's a lot of action and a lot of loss but it never quite hits you emotionally, because the issue keeps things focused on the living and the future. Through all of it, it focuses on the hope of success and what's next making sure to remind readers this is but a chapter in the greater story. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Brandon Masters Sep 22, 2021

This remains a delightful book, with clever writing and a relentlessly grim setting spiked with touches of hope. Once more, the $8.99 price tag raises eyebrows, but die-hard fans should certainly pick this comic up as soon as possible. Those who are simply more interested in reading the complete story eventually, or love dark futures, might want to wait for the trade that will collect all 5 issues. The choice is yours, but this is something all TMNT fans will enjoy. Read Full Review

    Comic Crusaders - M.R. Jafri Sep 24, 2021

Each sequence is full of different forms of art and create an amazing whole, but the story would have done better to just focus on Mikey's fight with Hiroto and Baxter Stockman. The massive battle and seeing him take on the mouser army is the least artistic but most memorable part of the book. Unfortunately next issue is the last and this series has still only scratched the surface of its artistic and story-telling potential. Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Lainez Sep 27, 2021

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin #4 is the weakest issue of this mini-series thus far. The set-up for the final issue to have as big of a scale as possible with Michelangelo leading the resistance against the Foot Clan. Where this issue does falter is how repetitive the use of flashbacks were to previous issues and the lack of development around Oroku Hiroto. Hopefully the final issue will deliver the epic conclusion we have been led to expect. Read Full Review
