If youre picking up this issue on a whim, you wont be horribly lost. However, we still strongly urge you to pick up the previous issues before reading this one. While the main story is still waiting for the major action to start, the flashbacks are more than enough to satisfy the fans who love their TMNT to be action-packed. I’m loving this series; every panel and splash of ink has worked well thus far and I’m hoping for a real gut punch of an ending. These are arguably my favorite characters of all time and their love for their family is rooted in deep in their cores and I hope it comes through even moreso than it has these last few issues. The Last Ronin is feeling more and more like a story that needs to be read in completion to be fully appreciated, as it's more about atmosphere and cool factor than plot beats. Still, it remains an enjoyable enough read regardless. Read Full Review
Absolutely awesome!
One of the best TMNT stories ever written in my opinion. This particular issue was a bit less engaging for me, I didnt care for how Casey and Leo met there demise. It just lacked that Oh my god feel the other issues had. Still this is a minor minor complaint for a perfect comic series.
Love this. Like the the backstories on leo/casey/april as well as hiroto. Annoying having to wait for months for #4.......
The backstory is interesting, and the use of different artists for different time periods is effective.
