Tommy must overcome his failures and hallucinations as the Rangers face an underwater attack. With Rita Repulsa's ultimate plan in play, the power of the crystal will be revealed, bringing forth one of the greatest threats the Rangers have ever faced.
This series is the Power Rangers treated like real people, and that's my kind of comic. They had enough goofy, campy, kid stuff in the original TV show. If you're going to even have a comic like this, I am glad Higgins and BOOM! are taking it seriously. And it's not like this is some grim and gritty reboot. This is the classic show, with all the color and personality, but treated with some real depth. That's good Power Rangers comics. Read Full Review
Dragon DaggersHiggins and company take us deeper inside the Power Rangers as human beings all while crafting a fantastic story. The ending will leave you begging for the next issue but then keep you happy with Bulk and Skull. One of my favorite books to pull every month because it's fun, fast paced and doesn't let me down. The improved characters, continually escalating conflict, and proper use of the giant robots allows the comic to grow and shine in ways that the show never could. The action does things that suit actors never did, there's more depth to the team both as individuals and as a group, and the explosions actually mean something aside from dramatic effect. A thoroughly entertaining issue. Read Full Review
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #4 was the full package and thrilling for it. It has character, action, and non-stop energy that challenges the Rangers rather than having the ordinary monster of the day. This gives us so much more and you admire adaptations that can take full advantage of the room given to do so. Read Full Review
MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS #4 is mainly a big Zord battle, but it feels earned due to the character-based storytelling that's defined the series up to this point. The series once again gets a high recommendation from me, as it continues to be one of the best books on the stands. Read Full Review
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #4 is yet another marvellous entry into this young series, with Kyle Higgins and Hendry Prasetya continuing to give us an exciting and fresh take on the classic TV series. Add in a gripping cliffhanger and I'm sure fans will be returning for more. Read Full Review
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers gets a welcome injection of full scale action, Hendry Presetya at last making good on the full potential he's often teased. Kyle Higgins' script still tends to create its own drama at times, but his handle on characters not named Tommy continues to impress. In many ways, issue #4 comes the closest to creating a true Power Rangers experience, and with some solid character dynamics in play and an intriguing hook set, the future of this young title remains bright. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #4 is an issue that shows that this series is going from strength to strength. It is able to use the old Power Rangers mythos and tell a story that is both familiar yet feels fresh. The art is very enjoyable and complements it well. While the story does seem to be a little repetitive with the ‘can the trust the Green Ranger?' story, what is around that is enjoyable enough you can forgive them for taking their time with the plot. Pitting giant robots against giant shark men is all well and good, but doesn't mean a thing unless you care about the characters in the fight. Thankfully Issue #4 does exactly that, adding up to another substantial installment for BOOM! Studios' breakout adaptation. Read Full Review
Ultimately, this issue was good, but not to the same level as the previous issues. This one felt more like a bridge between two real issues, seeing the plot with the fake Dragon Dagger be resolved without really moving forward the overarching conflict between Tommy and the Rangers, which is already getting a bit stale. It would be in the series best interest to put that plot behind them relatively soon so that they can move on to bigger and better things. Read Full Review
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #4 is action packed to the gills and has brought me back dying to know what happens next. Read Full Review
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #4 continues the series' reputation for managing to strike a balance between artwork that feels true to the show and storytelling that feels as if it's matured with the fans. It would be nice to see the team stop arguing so much, but that change feels as if it's just over the horizon. As long as the quality of the art and writing keep up as well as they have, it'll definitely be worth it to keep reading and find out. Read Full Review
The weakest issue so far in the run but still a comic worth reading. There is still many miles to go with this part of the Power Ranger franchise and theres no reason to give up on it yet. Read Full Review
