Geek Dad - Ray Goldfield
May 13, 2026That’s the thing that really makes this issue stand out. It’s not just that the art is surreal and the narrative is complex. It’s that it makes us question everything we’ve seen until this point, because not even our own senses can be trusted. I have absolutely no idea how this will end next issue, but I know I’ll be heading right for a re-read before it comes out. Read Full Review

The Comic Book Spot - beastfire
May 15, 2026Second to last chapter of Absolute Martian Manhunter, and things are more tense and trippy than ever, and I love this story for that. It’s the penultimate issue of this run, and this one brings one hell of an eleventh-hour drama bomb. How will it all end? I have no idea, but I’m pumped. Read Full Review

Comic Book Clique - Jack Richardson
May 21, 2026This series is not an easy read, nor is it meant to be. It is a psychological thriller that challenges the boundaries of how stories can be told on a printed page. As we head into issue #12 next month, I have absolutely no idea how this creative team plans to pull John out of the abyss—or if they even intend to. All I know is that issue #11 has solidified this book as an absolute masterpiece, and I am immediately flipping back to issue #1 to re-read the entire journey with my eyes wide open. Read Full Review

May 13, 2026The last stand of John Jones begins with a mind-blowing chapter you can’t believe. Camp pushes the broken hero into dangerous territory. Rodríguez and Otsmane-Elhaou don’t miss on delivering amazing imagery. An extraordinary display in superhero storytelling few others can reach. Read Full Review

May 13, 2026Metaphor plays an even bigger role in Absolute Martian Manhunter since issue seven than it did even in the first six issues. The series starts pulling it all together in Absolute Martian Manhunter #11 in preparation for the final issue. This series is not always an easy read, but intense issues like this one make it very worthwhile. Read Full Review

KPB Comics - Stan West
May 14, 2026Absolute Martian Manhunter #11 is Camp at his most political. Despair-the-Zero infects John and the reader’s minds with intrusive thoughts, while Rodriguez wraps every panel in bursts of beautiful color and Otsmane-Elhaou uses white smoke to show the brain fog. The challenge of the cutout forces you to look inward. There’s one issue remaining. It is officially my most anticipated series finale of the year. Read Full Review

Sad to see this one coming to an end...it is the best comic in the stands right now. The artwork by Javier Rodriguez makes me want to analyze each panel, study it. And the writing, well, it's touching upon some very real themes through its science fiction and surrealism. Why is the world so crazy? Why are we all at each others throats? And who is pulling our strings? Deep stuff! Can't wait to see how it all concludes on the next and final issue. Hoping this creative team return, on whatever book they want to return in. Highest possible recommendation!
