Just read the Absolute edition of Superman For All Seasons. It's absolutely beautiful. Loeb used to be such a special writer. I read that apparently his son dying dramatically impacted his writing ability. If that's true, I massively empathise. At this stage, it's like a completely different person writing. I read this comic before All Seasons and it is unbelievable it's the same writer. Such a shame.

Apr 29, 2026A visit on an old friend turns into a thrilling chase that shows a new side to the Dark Knight few knew he had. Loeb pens a solid superhero tale under the umbrella of self realization. Cheung & Ramos construct amazing art for readers to be swept up in. A welcomed addition into the saga of the Dark Knight’s legacy. Read Full Review

Apr 29, 2026Overall, the book is a lot of fun, but this reminds me a lot of Hush and was probably intended to. The action is over-the-top, with a lot of gorgeous splash pages for a top artist (Jim Cheung, filling in for Jim Lee). But there’s also plenty of narration, which can feel a little ponderous at times, and the book seems more an excuse for some of the action scenes that Cheung delivers on. Read Full Review

Apr 29, 2026Batman/Wonder Woman: Truth #1 is a fun side mission which goes above and beyond the call of duty to tell a story with real emotional connection and consequence. I went in expecting a fun crime caper and came away feeling like I had a better understanding of who these characters are to each other. Read Full Review

May 05, 2026Batman/Wonder Woman: The Truth #1 is a perfectly fine story that works best as an epilogue to Batman: Hush, and not so much as a true team-up story between two of DC's biggest hitters. The art is the real star of this story, something we've come to expect from a pro like Jim Cheung. Read Full Review

Dumb. Bruce couldn’t devise a better theft -proof system? He couldn’t find a better time to test it? What makes Selina such a master thief anyway? And what right does Bruce have to use Diana’s lasso as a prop?

Jeff Loeb is a great writer. His most recent work on Batman however , Hush 2 for instance is terrible. This book is not much better. It's as if Jeff has blinders to the rest of what's happened sine Hush 1 ( which BTW was just decent). The book is a mess. The cat woman stuff stealing the lasso of truth, batman yet again " who can he love" stuff is cringe. the story is sloppy and revisionist. Loeb needs to clean up his writing on Batman. it's really been dreadful and incoherent lately. The issue has bright spots but even those are mid at best.
