The most astonishing thing about this issue is one could jump into it without having read any of the previous Injustice comics and follow along fine. For that reason alone, I must once again recommend it to anyone and everyone who is a fan of Harley and Ivy, alone or apart. Though I may sound like the political commercials that are continually rerun on various streaming services at this time of year, I'll gladly repeat this once more; the universe of Injustice is one of the best locales of the DC Multiverse and well-worth reading even if you are sick of evil Superman stories. I'm always game for a good Harley and Ivy story and this one delivers easily. Ivy's time with the Joker may be my favorite because it does show just how protective she is of Harley but also just how much she understands Joker and what must be done to get him to shift gears when it comes to Harley. Taylor keeps things moving well and while it may be a one-off that slows the energy of the main story it's a good one that lets us just see a little positive material here amid all the chaos and of what's to come. Feels like threatening Joker in this scenario was the wrong call but like yay a wedding!
This was fun. I enjoyed it. And I'm sure people with more shipping opinions than me will enjoy it even more.
