This series, unsurprisingly, has the same charm as the cartoon with Superman being far more relatable and human than he usually is. Still, overall this was a solid first issue, setting up the tone and story. If you just picked up this issue and hadn't seen the show, you'd understand this universe and these takes on the characters. So I think it is worth a buy.
