The citizens of Metropolis are missing! Looking for an escape, many have fallen victim to Avalon, a new street drug that transports you to a simpler era...the Medieval Times! And turns out that it's not just a trip you take in your mind, people are being physically transported to this magical plane too! Looks like a job for Power Girl and her new bff, Supergirl?!

The dialogue is strong, the plot is intriguingly twisty, and the overall tone is fun, but the real star here is Marguerite Sauvage's guest artwhich not only looks as gorgeous as her usual style, but also shifts to a second, more cartoony style to bring the alternate world to life. The Aspiring Kryptonian - David Beasley Feb 27, 2024

A few personal biases keep this issue from being absolutely perfect for me. I've been a huge fan of Marguerite Sauvage's art for years now, but was hoping to see Paige sport her eye patch a bit longer. Also, Supergirl came to Power Girl for help because there might be some slight illegal activity involved but the two minor incidents that occur, she she takes great exception too which felt a little out of character.Otherwise it's a fun issue that does an expert job of setting up the next arc. The issue is gorgeously presented with its visuals, elevating a whimsical plot that may contribute to the series' tonal inconsistencies while still keeping things fresh issue to issue. Read Full Review

    ComicBook.com - Charlie Ridgely Feb 28, 2024

Seeing how Power Girl exists in this new world is the enticing hook that sets up the rest of the arc, especially after learning that she has lost her powers. There's a lot of fun to be had as Power Girl continues, and issue #6 does exactly what it needs to in order to set up that exciting future, even if that means not being terribly exciting in its own right from time to time. Weird Science - Gabe Hernandez Mar 1, 2024

Power Girl #6 continues to sideline the Kelex conflict by starting a new mystery about a drug that kidnaps users into a fantasy land. The core idea is an intriguing mystery, but the abysmal character work and cheap art are a downer. Read Full Review

I wish DC would assign writers who like the character they are writing and don't give us warped views. Art raises this grade. Read Full Review

DC Comics News - Matthew Lloyd Feb 27, 2024

The first five issues have been an awful experience and Power Girl #6 doesn't really change that. This is probably the worst issue of the series, friendship is not magic in this case. Read Full Review

Its interesting enough to keep reading but the writer never really has a stance on anything. This comic plays it safe too much.

Look at my previous reviews when I say this. This has gotten worse. I will defend Williams when I think it is just terrible editors ruining her. This seems random and totally pointless. Also no offence to the artist but this is such a step down from issues 1-4 which were not great to start with. The animal issue worked but this looks like it was written for kids. Nothing about this issue feels right. The story itself isnt terrible but feels like pointless. The only plus it has is it at least ties into the previous issue which I thought was a one off. That was nice for some continuity.

Going to stay with this one and see if it picks up for the Superman event but if not... then I dont see how this isnt cancelled by issue 12.

Leah Williams continues to make a not so great Power Girl comic that's devoid of both action and interesting plots. Why is Supergirl and Power Girl investigating a psychedelic drug that teleports people? Who knows!?
