Not my favorite arc, and definitely not my favorite issue. It has it moments, but overall was a bit too random. Almost as bad as a Grant Morrison story! Read Full Review

Although the final issue of Psi War was able to satisfy on an action based level, it faltered as a satisfying conclusion. There are a few stand out issues in the arc, as well as gorgeously rendered pages, but the story refrains from keeping the same aptitude and structure consistently between the creative team swaps. Action Comics #24 is the highlight of the series, and should be read regardless of how the arc is received. Read Full Review

The issue wraps up the Psi War arc nicely and delivers an exciting finale to Superman's current adventure. This story was pretty isolated in terms of lasting changes, mostly because the ending ties up most of its loose ends. Regardless of how drastic you like your endings you should definitely be able to enjoy the ride. Read Full Review

Eddy Barrows turns in a stellar looking issue of Superman. His layouts using the Medusa Mask as panel borders is as creepy as it is cool to look at. It's really Pete Pantazis' colors that round out this comic and make it so pleasing to look at. Lois is pretty much a bright blue glowing figure, while Psycho Pirate's powers light up like the fourth of July. This is a great looking issue that helps establish Superman as a solid book that you won't want to miss out on if you're a fan of the character. Read Full Review

Supergirl Comic Box Commentary - Anj Oct 4, 2013

I liked the opening scene, the exposition and reveals by the Psycho Pirate and the art work in the H.I.V.E. HQ. And I liked this ending with Lois being powered, nice cliffhanger. And Tyler Kirkham's art is very nice. And I didn't mind necessarily the attacks in the past as a concept but I very much disliked the idea that Superman has the feeling so deeply ingrained and that he would succumb to them so quickly. Heck, he kind of shrugged off the Black Mercy all those years ago. Surely he would question why Ma and Pa hate him. Read Full Review

    All-Comic - Jeremy Matcho Oct 23, 2013

This was kind of a dull conclusion to a decent storyline. You would think that Clark would come up with a way to protect himself from an attack on his mind, but it hasnt happened yet. Hopefully the next arc will be a bit more creative. Read Full Review
