It's the penultimate chapter of "Final Days"! When all the Supermen have fallen, it's Supergirl to the rescue! But can Kara and Wonder Woman stop a villain who wants to end Clark's hope for future Supermen?

Overall, I liked this issue a lot. It pushed the multiple plotlines forward, giving us new information. It definitely was beautiful. And it gave me optimism for the future of these books, even if this Superman is apparently going to die. #Rebirth is around the corner. Can't wait. Read Full Review

    Comicsverse - Phil Casey May 22, 2016

So with the final issue of the series coming up in SUPERMAN #52, there are certainly still a few questions. Will the New 52 Superman actually die, or is it a bit of a red herring? A lot of people online certainly speculate that he will be replaced with his Post-Crisis self, and then promptly bite the bucket. If that is the case, then Tomasi will certainly have sent him out with an anti-climatic thud, as opposed to a death beholden to that of a superhero. Tomasi is also working on the character for Rebirth, so that does not leave me, personally speaking, with a lot in the way of excitement. We will see how Tomasi sends off the New 52 Superman yet though, as SUPERMAN #52 puts the punctuation on the series before Rebirth. Read Full Review

Rebirth isn't coming fast enough, but I am still enjoying the art and Tomasi's writing, I just wish the story was going somewhere. Read Full Review

We're almost at the end. This issue wasn't great, but it has returned to “pretty dang good” after a dip these past few weeks. Other than my beef with Batman and Lois, I don't have any major complaints. The shift of the focus away from characters lowers the ceiling over my potential enjoyment, but the narrowing of the focus gives the big battle the space it needs to make it more than a mindless brawl. This is my kind of scuffle. Read Full Review

While this issue provided for a nice dose of enjoyment, nothing terribly important happened. But if you've already come this far, I see no reason not to give it a read. Be sure to come back next week when the story concludes withSuperman#52. Read Full Review

For all the good we can say about Peter Tomasi's characterization of Superman and his allies during his "The Final Days of Superman" arc, there's almost just as much negative to say about the overall plot. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Jim Werner May 18, 2016

While I initially thought this final crossover would cleanse my palate of the bad New 52 Superman taste, it's hasn't.  In fact, story wise, it's starting to taste very similar.  I loved the art, but with poor pacing and inconsistent storytelling that brings up more questions than it answers, I can't recommend it.  Rebirth can't come soon enough.
