No, no we're good actually.
What’s truly at the end of the rainbow? We can’t be certain, but we’re pretty sure it ain’t a pot of gold! Up to now it’s been a peculiar, polychromatic pilgrimage for Superman: he’s lost track of time under the influence of Purple Kryptonite, grown to skyscraper size via Cobalt K, revisited his adolescence by way of Speckled K, and traveled to the fifth dimension using a “key” carved of Rainbow Rock. Now, in this final issue, the chickens have come home to roost—and so, too, has Kal-El. Back in Metropolis, the Man of Tomorrow must stand face-to-face with the Man of Today…and decide for himself, finally, whether Lex is rig more

Superman: The Kryptonite Spectrum #5 is a great ending to a series that has been spot on from the beginning. The ending was a great pay off from the strong Book I's opening issue. It's a great end to the Spectrum tests and hopefully a doorway to a follow up in the very near future. Read Full Review
The Kryptonite Spectrum #5 is a masterful example of a Black Label story. It takes the toys out of the sandbox and breaks them in ways that feel meaningful. It's a story about a man losing his life to his heritage but finding peace in his community. Read Full Review
Superman: The Kryptonite Spectrum #5 wraps up a decidedly different, but entertaining, entry into the Superman titles. If you're looking for a Superman book that's a bit more atypical than usual, grab this one. Have fun, comic lovers! Read Full Review
The Superman story that I never expected to see ends in a way that perfect fits its bizarre narrative, and once again I implore you to remember that the 'Ice Cream Man' creative team is utterly brilliant. Read Full Review
The Ice Cream Man creative team always swings for the fences, and I'm not quite sure if this last home run hit, but the series as a whole certainly did. Read Full Review
Superman deals with Lex Luthor is a battle unlike anything fans have seen before. Prince challenges the Man of Tomorrow with strong writing. Morazzo and O'Hollaran throw unique looks at the audience to make this books stand out. It provides a fitting conclusion to one of the most versatile Superman stories you will ever read. Superman: The Kryptonite Spectrum #5 finishes the exciting story of the different color of Kryptonite, and all the chaotic side effects that go with them. The creative team did a fantastic job all the way through! Read Full Review
'Superman: The Kryptonite Spectrum' #5 interrogates what home is, where to find it, and its dangers, all in a heightened Silver Age style. It goes to show that a Superman would have a super-attachment to his origin. Almost a worthy spiritual successor to All-Star Superman, its modest length stops it short of reaching the same heights. Like Krypton, the comic's lifespan ends prematurely. But at least it ends with a bang. Read Full Review
Brings tears to my eyes - Prince and Morazzo stuck the landing the only way they could - by being weird, heartfelt, and SILVER AGE.
It truly is refreshing to see Superman and his cast depicted thru such a high energy, high imagination lens, while maintaining the emotional weight that has always connected audiences to Superman stories for almost a hundred years.
Timeless yet harkening back to an era where anything and everything was possible - I truly hope this mini series sets the stage for what is possible in a Superman story, for years to come. There is always a way.
To Prince, Morazzo, and team - thank you!
How come this is the last issue ?!! Please! We need more Superman from this team!!!
A pleasant blast to read. It's very clear that this book takes a lot of homage and inspiration from Grant Morrison's all Star Superman, from There's always a way to the way Kal-Elf appears similar to one of the covers of All Star Superman books. But it still stands out on it's own, and somehow goes even more wackier and crazier. It's definitely one of the best Superman stories of all time, and arguably the best modern Superman story of all time.
From someone who loves Ice Cream Man and alot of other work from this team or writer, this series was not my cup of tea. Super wordy, very corny (which its meant to be) and just not really engaging for me. It just always felt like a chore. There are parts of the stories I do like, it just didn't do it for me overall.
Um yeah...Good premise but actual story and product isn't that great. Thankfully the series is over and there is no need for a follow up. NEXT!
