Oh man, if you havent been reading Teen Titans, you really should be. It takes the core of what made popular iterations of the series work, like the emphasis on character relationships and their relationships to their parents, and adds an injection of freshness and modernity. Its fun, action packed, a bit dramatic, and one of my favorite comics out there right now. You really should be reading Teen Titans, guys. Read Full Review
A super-fun issue that was perfectly balanced and showed exactly what a team book needs to be. Teen Titans is definitely something to watch, and with it still being early days for the series, this particular issue promises some big things in the series' future. I can't fault it in any way. Aqualad has risen and he has become a Teen Titan, well kinda. While Kingshark, Black Jack, and a mysterious third have other plans for the Teen Titans. Read Full Review
Rebirth has perhaps been no kinder to any title than it has been toTeen Titans. Issue #7 brings Aqualad into the fold with energy, humor, and a little bit of intrigue. The Lazarus Contract looks fun, but I'm looking forward to what Percy, Pham, and the rest of the team have in store once it's done. If you aren't readingTeen Titans, you don't know what you've been missing"and it's time you found out. Read Full Review
The series continues to be fun. It has all the fun of a Saturday morning cartoon, with just a faint touch of Wolfman/Perez era nostalgia. Damian may be struggling to help the team find their groove, but comic has certainly already found their own. Read Full Review
Teen Titans is vying for Most Improved in 2017 honors. If the title stays at this level of consistency, it's going to become required reading by the end of the year. Read Full Review
The Lazarus Contract is just on the horizon and everything we are reading right now is a set up for that. I really hope Benjamin Percy will be the front runner on that, because he is easily becoming one of my favorite writers of all time! Read Full Review
While Teen Titans #7 serves up a nice introduction for Aqualad, there are lingering concerns with Percy's character balance and lack of strong female characterization. Read Full Review
This issue served its purpose in identifying Aqualad's value as a new team member for the Teen Titans and setting the book up for a future arc that will most likely take place after the Lazarus Contract crossover event with Deathstroke and Titans. Nothing about it stuck out to me in particular, but that isn't necessary for it to be a good read. I'm enjoying this series so far and hopefully it has nowhere to go but up from here. This issue has a lot of fun art and potential. Its main drawback is that not enough happens to justify the $3.99 price tag. Read Full Review
This second book in this story arc was an improvement on the first for sure. If you don't mind Robin's annoyances, then you will definitely love this issue. The last page sets up what should be an interesting next issue, and the beginnings of the massive 3 book crossover, "The Lazarus Contract." This is a really dense issue, with a lot going on, but thanks to a deft touch by Percy it doesnt feel dense, it just feels lighthearted, fun and action packed. Read Full Review
While this was a paint-by-numbers introduction for Aqualad, it was still an enjoyable read. The team is learning to work together, and Damian has no choice but to learn how to lead... even if he needs to throw out his original playbook. Read Full Review
Overall, this is a decent, if a bit rushed, ending to the reintroduction of Jackson Hyde. The book could have benefited from another issue. It is not by any means a deal breaker, though. I for one am excited to see what kind of adventures the Teen Titans get in going forward. Read Full Review
I still feel like there's a lot of potential with the DC Rebirth era of the Titans, it just hasn't quite come together yet. But first, this series needs to figure out what it wants to be. Read Full Review
This series continues to satisfy and intrigue on every level. IMO this is the best iteration of the Teen Titans ever so far.
WHat is this Damian is baby Wolverine BS??
Its pretty good. I'll be honest, I'm not really sold on the new Aqualad. Kaldur in the Young Justice Cartoon was serious and badass and confident, and it feels like a complete 180 to make him this indecisive person who desperately wants to be accepted. I should be clear, this doesn't make him a bad character, at all, it makes sense for his situation and he is handled alright. It just feels odd to me that this character really has nothing attaching him to Kaldur other then appearance and one aspect of his backstory. Other then that, decent action and some sold character work.
