"Into the Bleed" part one! Raven's soul-self has been trapped in "Unearth" for months, and the team finally figures out a way to return and save their teammate. Not only that, but the formerly fictional fantasy realm holds a crucial key to finally unlocking the mystery of the Source Wall energy-so they may be saving the entire Earth in the process! Only one problem: the Blood Cult may have beaten them to it.
This was a solid opening issue to what looks to be an interesting and different arc. The writing and references were at their best, and the art supported it exceptionally well. This arc feels like a good jumping on point for new readers, as it does take you through everything you need to know as the story progresses, so if you were ever indecisive about whether or not to pick up this series, do it now! Overall Titans #33 is a good read. I enjoyed the overall story and the action itself was great. Abnett really shows us just how much this team has grown in this issue, and with the ending he presents us with, I wonder just how Donna will rally the team together? Read Full Review
Part one of a new arc, Abnett and company start it off nearly as strong as possible, and the future of this title is most certainly bright. Read Full Review
I havent been this excited about Titans in a long time and its nice to see Abnett has found his way with the team and made it a treat to read each issue now. Read Full Review
A lot of loose ends are coming together as the story builds towards something big. We should be up for an interesting story in the coming issues of Titans. Read Full Review
While the momentum was lost in the previous issue, we are able to regain it almost immediately in this new issue. This issue was fairly fast paced and we kept on target with our goal while still having our character engage in fun interactions. This is the book I've been waiting for. Who would have thought it would come in the world that I hated just 9 issues ago. Read Full Review
Bruno Redondo's art is excellent, but it's all largely in service of some pretty generic fantasy tropes. Still, visually this is probably the most engaging issue of the series. Read Full Review
Such a shame. Read Teen Titans. Pick up Young Justice. But unless you are a completist, and already reading it, best to give this a pass. Read Full Review
I love this team and story. What a surprise this iteration has been. I'll be sad to see it go. I love having Donna Troy in charge and the rest of the cast is so colorful.
I was very surprised by the quality of this issue. I find it very interesting & surprising.
The characters are well used and I want the following issue right now.
The bad guys are really good for once.
I laught at all the private Roleplaying & tolkien's jokes.
Cover - Not really related. And don't like it 0.5/2
Writing - Very nicely done. 3/3
Arts - The art isn't perfect but do the job and most of the layout made sense. 3/3
Felling - Finally that my titans 2/2
Solid issue! Working as a team as well! The dialogue was very good as well as the art! Wish it explained how Prince Travesty and Ernest made it to Unearth as well as how they teamed up with Mother Blood. Definitely has me guessing about how there can be a soul self Raven and a Raven who is leading the charge against the Titans.
I don't know, I'm frankly shocked by the reception to this issue. It's just as boring as every other issue. Unearth isn't very interesting. The characters themselves say that it's based on a very one-dimensional concept, that mostly serves to create plot devices. And I believe them! I'm just so checked out of this title at this point.
This honestly feels like such a slog to get through. Nothing is connecting for me, it’s just thing after thing, all just happening for no real reason, forever.
