Wonder Woman and Giganta must stare down the largest Titan that Olympus and the Earth have ever seen...but even if they defeat him, they must answer the question: Can Giganta ever be trusted to use her powers for good? Can Diana get through to her-or do some big bads just get bigger and badder?
Both Cary Nord and Ronan Cliquet do a great job with the art in the issue. The details look great and the characters are done incredibly well. Read Full Review
Even though the plot is big and cosmic, it's never lost touch with the human side and adding Maggie to the cast as our human POV character has worked out brilliantly so far. Read Full Review
This might not have been the most exciting story, but in it, Wilson might have defined her tone on this book. She tells enjoyable, light stories best, and she has flexed that muscle big-time on Wonder Woman. Adding a ton of humor, while still keeping the big action pieces that this book is known for, Wilson has carved out a nice, memorable niche for herself, so far. Is it ever going to be the most exciting take on Wonder Woman? No. But it is a unique and satisfying take on the character that is carefully crafted, with exceptional attention to Dianas inner workings, and thats worth applauding. Read Full Review
This issue wraps up a good short arc and continues a deeper long game with the mystery of Themysciras fate. This is the best this book has felt in a while there is solid art, a long-term direction and real storytelling going on. Basically its everything a comic book should be. Read Full Review
Wonder Woman has been on a nice path lately and this new quest promises to keep the fun rolling. I'm excited to see what Wilson has in store next for Wonder Woman and her friends. Read Full Review
If anything, what saves this issue is Wilson's unique approach to Diana's internal struggle, which is dealt with in a way that will hopefully bleed into future issues. Read Full Review
This book continues to struggle with pacing and overall storytelling. It looked good, but not much happened and what did felt really forced. G. Willow Wilson seems to be struggling with her character and what to do with her. I hope she figures things out soon. Read Full Review
I didn't enjoy this issue. The spectacle of the action doesn't play for because I don't like the art. I find the style to be unappealing. And because there is no sense of conclusion, it feels a little dragged out. Maybe if I found the reveal more interesting, I would be more engaged. But I was mostly bored reading this. Not the ending I expected but doesn't mean it wasn't good. I hope it gets better going forward. Wilson's run on WW so far has been fluctuating at best.
Pretty standard action fare that didn't seem to have much to say? Wilson is clever and I hope to more of that trait manifest in future work...
"Safe? No... but full of wonder"
This was a good arc. I enjoyed it, but if I'm being honest the ending felt abrupt.
This issue felt like it was rushing a bit towards the end. I think the overall story would benefit if it got one more issue. Four chapters instead of three. The sudden appearance of Aphrodite and the rest of the gang was a bit deus ex machina.
Despite all that the characters and dialogue were good. Wilson's take on Diana is great, which I stated in previews reviews multiple times, and the action is terrific. Wonder Woman unleashing her full power on the stone giants was amazing to watch. She really does hold back all the time.
I'm sad to see Giganta gone, I liked her back and forth more
I’m kind of interested in this exploration of Diana’s mind.
This entire arc has been tedious. The dialog between Giganta and Diana was especially bad this issue. Why can't anyone write a compelling wonder Woman comic anymore?
Meh.
Well it says it’s the finale issue in the story arc but it doesn’t feel like it’s done. If it is done, wow so much forced. And most of the dialogue is awful.
