Dr. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross came-up with the five stages of grief. Then she said that not everyone goes through them in order. And not everyone goes through all of them necessarily. And...well...its really just a vague model that people can take comfort in, but its not a bad outline for a cleverly non-traditional cowboy western horror-fantasy. Theres been real poetry in the series as it has made its way to its own inevitable conclusion. With the last few panels of issue #5, Ryder's story and the series come to a conclusion. At the parting shot, as she recognizes her fate, readers get a glimpse of Ryder's eyes which are yellow. But, there's no denying even up to the end, she did it her way. Read Full Review
