Lemire and Nguyen have had a strong run from the first issue and that hasn't changed at all for me, making this a really great installment as part of the whole. Read Full Review
The climax is near and the future is standing on a pin. The personal decisions and dissonances of many of these characters are what will ultimately lead to what the fate of the universe is. With only 2 issues left, the conclusion isn't far off, and uncertainty is all around. Read Full Review
Even as this issue pushes the plot forward, it never loses track of the many ways its character are alone even as they're surrounded by one another. Read Full Review
Descender #30 is an approachable and intriguing sci-fi tale of war and the right to live. The plot seems thick and would likely take time to completely parcel out, but, if intergalactic war and sci-fi is your jam (it generally is for me), this one is likely worth your time. Feel free to give it a try. This issue will probably hook you. Read Full Review

Without giving spoilers, this issue has the tides turning and the family dynamic changing even more for our little android. I really enjoyed this comic, its written well and the art is amazing. I remember feeling slightly disappointed that the last arc wasnt quite as epic as they seemed to be hyping it as with the whole "Rise of the Robots" summer event thing last year...but this current arc, which is undoubtedly the climax, has been non-stop epic.
"Descender" is approaching its end, and this issue is a powerful lead-up to that moment. The action was fast paced and interesting throughout the issue, and the Dustin Nguyen art was beautifully done as always, but the reunion between Tim-21 and Andy was so well done, it was a great payoff for people like me who've been with this all the way. Again, Nyuyen renders this two-page reunion masterfully. Great stuff.
Finally getting to what we want to see after a few meh issues.
Solid issue.
