I think they were just keeping with the original cartoon lore. They could feel each others pain in that as well.

The action holds quite a bit of impact. However, the drama that is driving, the conflict had a largely been concluded in the issues prior to the big finale. This is not to say that this issue is completely without its charm. Quite the contrary, in fact. Theres a great deal of work being done to set this particular series into the larger essence of the rest of the Energon Universe. Its going to be interesting to see how everything develops as the overarching universe continues to fuse G.I. Joe with The Transformers. Theres a great deal of potential in that particular crossover as more and more mini-series pop-up and the new G.I. Joe flagship series opens-up next month. Read Full Review

DESTRO #5 is a frustratingly disappointing finale to the self-titled miniseries as the glut of new developments shoehorned into the previous issue are rushed through in this issue to make it all make sense. Ok so my grade may seem high, but you know what? I dont care. Yeah the story had some areas that could have been explained more but this had me laughing quite a bit. Sure it was gruesome dragged out fighting between Destro and the twins, and that action was great. I enjoy how unhinged Destro is but in an effective way. Forgiving the twins and plotting the future was effective and nuking the satalight after teaming up with it to impress a lady was even funny when the foot-solider for Cobra Commander confirmed it.
However my favourite part by far was the panels without words. The ones with Cobra Commander. You know what I mean. While this massive fight is breaking out, Cobra is just casually walking beside it all, just nodding, ob more
I thought this was a pretty good ending. Having the twins feel each other's pain, is a bit weird, but there was some good action here. I don't think that Destro can be choked considering the mask covers his throat. I wish that the Baroness made an appearance, but I know she's going to start as a good guy. The whole idea of the AI attacking the auction was never fleshed out and the end was abrupt, so the story was not without its issues. Definitely better than Scarlett.
