The Scorched #1 " The lettering alone is worth the issue as the true art work is how AndWorld Designs provides you the voices within those decorative bubbles. Gunslinger Spawn continues to impress and Jessica's military experience shows off. Spawn comes off looking very haughty and aloof. As McFarlane loosens his reins and allows others to play in his sandbox, it should be interesting to see what comes about. Read Full Review
The Scorched #1features Spawn's allies forming their own team and leans into the convention of ensemble comics to explore a new corner of Spawn's Universe. If you have been following King Spawn or looking to get into Spawn, I highly suggest reading this book because Lewis is proving to be one of the hellish hero's best writers. Read Full Review

Long-time Spawn fans will be pleased with The Scorched #1, with their years of fandom and knowledge of the characters helping elevate the story. But newcomers may feel out of sorts and left wanting. While the idea of The Scorched was meant to reach lofty goals, the result is anything but.
