With only a couple of issues left to go in the mini-series, McGuire and company appear to be right on track to really get this series going right before it has to end. With the sheer number of titles that comprise the Age of X-Man mega-event, it was bound to happen that one of them might end up frustratingly reaching its most satisfying moments uncomfortably close to the end of the event. For now, its okay, though. The Amazing Nightcrawlers third issue is one of the few genuinely good issues in the Age of X-Man thus far. Read Full Review
Juan Frigeri does some fantastic work with the art in this issue. All of the characters look great and the fight between Kurt and Mystique looks amazing. Read Full Review
This series asks some serious questions, hidden behind a compulsively consumable popcorn-flavored plot. If you aren't reading it yet, you are missing out. Read Full Review
They go and find Celeste who helps them track down the young girl. She may be my favorite character in this book, has spunk. The little girl's name is Tenia Jean. Kurt and Meggan teleport to Kurt's room where he gathers a few things even though they are in a hurry due to the fact they are going to be moving Tenia soon. Before they do anything they get interrupted by Irma, who Celeste told her what is happening and she arranges a press event the next day in which we can assume is a mall. Unfortunately the rival had a similar idea and arrived at the mall to start some trouble, we end the issue with a fight about to begin. Read Full Review
It's definitely an improvement over the first two issues, but that wasn't exactly a high bar. Read Full Review
Overall this book has proven to be a wasted chance at a could've been good series. I find it hard for even hardcore Nightcrawler fans to be on-board with this. The book has no affect on the larger story and gives the reader no real reason why they should even invest in it. Especially when there are five other mini-series to collect. Read Full Review
I know some people find it boring, but I like this miniseries. The characters are fun to read about.
I know we're in the middle of a Big Dumb Eventâ„¢ with loads of editorial oversight and big-picture planning and whatnot, but I STILL wish this series could actually go "Oh, snap, the Cuckoos are WAY more interesting than Kurt in this AU situation, let's follow them now."
Still pretty bored, not gonna lie.
THE GOOD:
-The art is really good. Definitely my favorite part of the issue.
-There were some pretty solid character interactions this issue.
-I do like the scenes with Nightcrawler shooting the action sequence for his movie. Those were well-executed.
THE BAD:
-I don't really care for this series all that much anymore.
-This storyline has become really dull. I don't find it all that interesting.
-Mcguire's dialogue isn't my favorite. It's not all that bad, just kind of bland.
-That ending felt really unbelievable and cheesy.
