In an era where Marvel happily is drawing from old stories and rearranging them with new characters in the center, All-New Wolverine #16 offers an ideal template for creators to build off of. It shows what's memorable and exciting about the classic characters, sands off the rough edges and doesn't forget about why those new characters matter so much to audiences of all ages. The art is a little choppy and rough but despite that I found myself enjoying the body language and expressions on the characters. There's a decent level of design and world building and I don't know if it's because I listen to a lot of synth-pop when reading comics but it felt like a high-powered episode of Miami Vice, though it could just have been the California colouring. Our heroes are in trouble, but the quality of this book is not! Read Full Review
All-New Wolverine #16 continues to push "Enemy of the State II" forward with positive momentum. Tom Taylor and Nik Virella delivered a chapter that elevated how dangerous Kimura is and could potentially be if her plan to take over Madripoor is successful. Kimura's plot gave us an even greater reason to look forward to when Laura is able to take her down in a fight. Introducing Gambit into the story provides an interesting wild card into the situation that should make things even more exciting moving forward. Read Full Review
The Enemy of the State II story is hitting it's stride and while I expected a lot more slicing and dicing, I am still enjoying it. The art was good and Tom Taylor is gearing up for a big finale. BTW, Gabby steals the show (once again) because she is awesome! That's just how it is. Read Full Review
This may not be the epic murder-fest the original "Enemy of the State" was, but maybe it doesn't need to be. Read Full Review
I don’t have a problem with art, unlike others. The story itself is pretty good but the pacing was pretty inconsistent and it seems like Taylor was making this up as he went along
Only reason I can't rate this higher is that Virella's artwork is still a noticeable step back from the previous teams. It's a step above Pham's in issue 15, though.
