Where the story goes from here remains to be seen, though the cover may provide the biggest hint of things to come. Despite some minor flaws with the art, this is an excellent issue and if X-23 stays with the team, thats even better. Bendis continues to make this a must read every month and still keeps it fresh and surprising. Artists Mahmud Asrar and Brandon Peterson spilt art duties and it's generally seamless except when it comes to Jean Grey. She looks like two completely different people depending on which artist is drawing her. I like seeing the characters in action with their new costumes. The new digs are certainly more interesting to look at than black and yellow leather jackets. Although, X-23 gets a new costume, too. Does this make her part of the team? The All-New X-Men might just be getting used to their new situation with Cyclops' team of mutants but things are about to change in big ways. X-23 being thrown into the mix could spice things up and battle the Purifiers never is a good thing for the team. Brian Michael Bendis balances some slightly dark moments with the humor we've grown to love. The use of two different artists unfortunately makes the flow of the story a little jarring. What this boils down to is my second favorite X-Men title has fallen to at least third place if not further. I'm not sure what it is about this story line that isn't doing it for me. Maybe it's just The Purifiers that aren't working for me but as this story line is only another issue or two I'm not too worried. This whole arc is shaping up to be skippable. Not a very compelling story of the X-Men, but it might bring fans in to see X-23 in action. This is made even more disappointing considering we know how well this creative team can do. It's not like I'm going to be dropping All-New X-Men anytime soon, I'm just not enjoying it all that much.
