Well at first I was a bit nervous going into this book. I thought I was going to be lost. But, I was surprised that I did just fine! However, as much as I enjoyed the story, the art just didn't seem to work for me in this issue. Besides the art and the "Yancy Street incident", I thoroughly enjoyed the issue. The dialogue was good and the backstory on Nova really helped me dive into the issue comfortably. This series has only sparked my interest in Nova and I would love to see Rosenberg on a Nova series in the near future. I would highly recommend this issue! Read Full Review

It's still a plot machine that does little to distinguish itself from so many similar events across the past decade of Marvel comics, but at least it's good for a few moments of levity and doesn't overload the reader with excessive captions. Read Full Review

I loved this comic more then anything I've read for a while. If you like Nova or any cosmic Marvel I recommend. The continuity has been great with past stories that it builds from. It's simply a lot of fun. You wouldn't expect Annihilus to be funny but he's freaking hilarious in this issue. The banter between him and Nova was great! The humor doesn't take away from the stakes or that Nova is a damaged person from his trauma. It's funny, there's danger, character depth (even for annihilus who usually doesn't get much) and exactly why I read comics. Keep this coming! I'd buy the crap out of a Nova Corps book if it was ever made!

I'am a huge Sentry fan and The story of Annihilation. I love this and can't wait for more. I"am so grateful that I own all the issues 2018 of Sentry to follow up with this story.

After what I thought was a good but not great Alpha issue, Annihilation: Scourge has pumped out 2 great one-shots, including this Nova one-shot written by Matthew Rosenberg. Rosenberg does a great job of writing the Nova/Annihilus dynamic and Roberson's art was fun and adventurous. The Sentry and his Revengers are terrifying villains, and this issue was overall amazingly written. Color me impressed

Absolutely loved this one. Incredible mixture of comedy, drama, and action. Rosenberg, quite surprisingly, writes a very good Richard Rider. His interactions with Annihilus was top-notch. I'd love to see more of this.

Nova's little chunk of Scourge is marked by some outstanding teeth-clenched teamwork with Annihilus, some important plot developments, and the disturbing implication that Richard Rider is a full-blown alcoholic now. I like the first, am neutral to the second, and dislike the third, which seems par for the course for this event. It's a mix of soft "hoorahs" and moderate eyeball-rollers, balancing out toward unfortunate average-ness. Some solid art and the best of the Nova/Annihilus banter tipped the scale toward enjoyability for me here, though.
