Ant Man #2 continues a full-throttle, f-ant-astic, cant miss adventure. Filled with laughs and thrills, its largest flaw is how quickly its going to be over. Read Full Review
Dylan Burnett keeps the tone light and fun with the art as well. From the exaggerated facial expressions to the action, the art reflects the tone of the story perfectly. Read Full Review
The good jokes, dialogue, artwork and storytelling keep this really fun mini-series going, even if this issue slows down just a bit for some necessary exposition. Still great! Read Full Review
I never thought a team of bug-themed villains could be this much fun, but Zeb Wells has thoroughly proven me wrong. Read Full Review
Ant-Man #2 has already marked this series as something special. There are many elements to draw you to this book and keep you reading. The humor is outstanding, there are fascinating aspects to the story, and now there’s an enemy that is truly terrifying. And, the glimpses of the next issue seem like things are going to get even more fun. Insect will meet arachnid when Ant-Man runs into Spider-Man. Read Full Review
"Ant-Man" #2 is a fun, silly adventure that is well written and drawn. However, the story needs to bring Scott and Cassie together soon"that's the story the should be at the heart of this series"family drama is more interesting than bug men. Read Full Review
Hilarity ensues thanks to great writing and decent visuals. Read Full Review
I was more into this than expected, and I’m legit upset about that bee dying.
I believe the first issue to be better, but nevertheless this story was fun to read.
Tons of fun and great vibrant art to match. My kinda book.
Prelude:
The first issue was good enough but this one needs to sell the series to me.
The Good:
The recap page was funny.
It was a fun issue.
I liked the differing bug aspects.
The Bad:
Cassie was a bit too much against Scott for my liking.
Conclusion:
This was a really fun issue. Looking forward to where this goes now.
Nazi Bee Man and West Coast Avengers. Not as good as the first issue, but still so much fun.
I thought this was really, really fun.
Scott survives his first brush with the bug overlord, MacroThrax, relying to an embarrassing degree on support from Swarm. It's a nice, straightforward superhero vs. supervillain setup. The cutaway scene to Cassie is kind of wedged in, but I'm confident that she has a more relevant role to play in future issues. On the art front, I'm caught in a contradictory position: I can recognize that outstanding visual storytelling is going on, but I'm just not impressed with this style of character rendering.
It's hilarious that Scott makes friends with a former Nazi and doesn't want anyone to know.
