    Nerd Initiative - ShawnFoles

    Apr 29, 2026

This issue was a one-two punch, combined with last week’s Captain America. Chip Zdarsky continues to produce some of the finest Captain America comics ever written. This entire series is phenomenal. This issue left me speechless. You can ask the rest of the Nerd Initiative team what a feat that is. Read Full Review

Captain America #10 is a book that fires on all cylinders, and the end result is a perfect issue that can be enjoyed on its own, a thrilling chapter in the ongoing saga of one of Marvel’s oldest heroes, and as an important stepping stone to Marvel’s next crossover event, which promises to redefine the Marvel Universe and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes going forward. Captain America #10 amps up the danger, action, and tension as the fight against Salvation enters its final hours. Zdarsky and Schiti have set the stage for a hell of a finale, and I have faith that they can deliver. Read Full Review

    Comic Watch - Henry Davis

Overall, Captain America #10 is a book written for the spectacle and the drama of a superhero story that it's deeper themes are consequentially buried by. Its still a great time, but its flaws are unfortunately very fatal. Read Full Review

    Astonishingly Awful

    Apr 29, 2026

Yet another artist change, back to “regular” artist Valerio Schiti. There are some confusing panel transitions, but overall, it’s passable work.
The writing is becoming a problem for me though. The reveal of the villain was so predictable. Plus, the allegories to current political events are so in-your-face, it’s not really fun reading this anymore. When did comics stop being an escape from real life? Captain America in particular should emphasize idealism, not moral relativism.
